All it took was $400 million in taxpayer money, but you finally got the team to name itself after the state instead of the major city that gave your hilljack exurb such an inferiority complex, it had to leverage its future on questionable real estate developments at the apex of the bubble in a foolhardy attempt to overcompensate. I know it's nothing new, but just think about it!A few favorites of the people who showed up to defend the Coyotes, most of them professionally clad in Coyotes sweaters:- one creepy guy read what sounded like Jamison's wikipedia article, then said "this is a top-notch guy! He deserves this!" Yes, for competently operating the Mavericks thirty years ago. FOAD- the girl who appeared in the CoyotesPAC youtube video said she made thirty friends by working to save the Coyotes.- an erstwhile car dealer said "you can't worry about the money. That's what I told my salesmen. Work with people, and the money will come in. I quit to become a poker player."- a large black woman said she wanted to grow up to be Joyce Clark.It sounds like I'm making these up. Especially that last one. But I know other people watched it. Come on. Back me up on this.I don't know if the city council video has been archived, but I highly recommend watching it if you missed it the other night. It's like eggbeating your brain. I stopped to check it out, not because of the absolute absurdity of a team trying to sell season ticket packages for a locked out league on campus, but because there was a guy who was arguing pretty loudly with one of the salesman. I think Phoenix needs to finally be sacrificed and burnt at the stake. Why in the hell pro hockey was ever placed in Arizona is beyond my rational thinking... The team needs sold and moved to somewhere where people care i.e. Seattle or Quebec City. If Buttman misses the golf course of PHX so bad then he needs to learn how to either play golf in the rain of Washington. Or... play golf in the frozen land of Quebec.
