Sec19Row53
This is a cool look at the NFL in terms of an MLB schedule. 2 Quote It's where I sit.
BBTV
The Eagles have been around since 1933. That's 91 seasons (counting the current one.) Out of the players with the most games played for the team, three of the top 10 are on the current team, including one who should set the all-time franchise record. In the free-agency / salary-cap era, that's pretty amazing. TrueYankee26
Duke is hosting College Gameday tomorrow. Yes, the football College Gameday. So as of Saturday, Cal, Illinois, Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Virginia are the only Power 5 teams that have never hosted Gameday 1 Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com
OnWis97
Yesterday, Royce Lewis homered in his first two postseason at bats, joining only Evan Longoria (who also played last night) and Gary Gaetti (also of the Twins). Stanford), seems like 2006 would have been the perfect year for them to host (co-Pac-10 champs, a win vs. #11 Oregon at Cal's Homecoming game, and a team that had DeSean Jackson and Marshawn Lynch on it)...

BBTV
No chance 99% of those players knew who Dick Butkus was, let alone had any extra motivation. While I never saw him play, he, along with Ham and Lambert were some of the guys who were legendary in my eyes and made me want to be a linebacker, before I realized I had no talent. Unfortunately, the position they played doesn't even exist anymore. 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." infrared41
Today I learned... The Pittsburgh Pirates won the World Series on October 17th...twice. 1971 and 1979. They beat the Orioles both times. Both series went seven games. 3 Quote All roads lead to Dollar General.

Partycrasher
to my knowledge, the 2022 Rams and 2023 Jets are the first and second NFL teams respectively to have 10 regular-season games at their home stadium (nine home games + "away" games against the Chargers and Giants respectively)
