Ben Simmons likes to post pics of his cats, which has lead to the "raise the cat" movement.  After every Sixers win, people tweet / IG / FB pics of them raising their cats in the air.

I'm not certain how humane this is, but it's pretty funny.  The team has finally recognized this and put out this video of their dumbass dog mascot raising a cat: (note the cardboard cutout of Shawn Bradley wearing the waterfall uniform in the background!)

To put this into a bit of context, it took the Hawks 20 more minutes of game time to score 2 points less than the Warriors did in regulation last night.

This is the first time since 2006 where Lebron's team has has a losing record for the month. Damn. How is this team, the way it's currently assembled, gonna beat the Warriors?

Angry LeBron is great LeBron.

On Barkley:

Quote

"I'm not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that," James told ESPN. "I'm not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas. I never said, 'I'm not a role model.' I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying.

"All I've done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that."

LeBron might need to take a couple of weeks off.

He's right though. No one takes more :censored: unfairly than he does.

Wizards have won 16 straight at home, and their next home game is against the Pelicans on Saturday, so I've got to think that soon it will be 17 (most likely).  Pretty impressive for a franchise that has generally been sub-mediocre throughout its entire existence.  This is their longest home winning streak since the 80s, at least.

Is it me, or are the Wizards underrated?  I don't really watch a ton of ESPN or sports shows, but I feel like no one talks about the Wizards, despite the fact that they are one of the hottest teams right now and are in a top-half-seeded playoff spot for now.  We're just over 10 weeks away from the playoffs and I know a lot can change, but I think it would take some serious injuries for them to really drop in the standings.  I'm not expecting them to win the championship or anything but they are a fun team to watch and are playing some great basketball.

Yes, the Wizards are underrated. They started very slow and when that happens, people write you off until you become a top 2 or 3 seed. They're a half game behind Toronto for the 3 though, so who knows? Good for them though; it's nice to see a time finally break through, if even only for a little while.

Everyone wanted Milwaukee to be that team, but they're 21-27 and a game out of the 8 spot. And, with that said, it feels like everyone in the east is kind of good all of a sudden. GOAT Dion Waiters and the Heat have won 9 in a row. The Sixers are killing everybody. The Cavs might have turned it around (though who knows?).

But if we're all being honest with ourselves, the Warriors are ruthlessly good this season and are seemingly unfairly dominant. Even with guys like Curry and Draymond missing games (as he is tonight) their wins are always inevitable.

The Magic didn't get the memo.

Well would you look at that. The Sacramento Cowbell Shakers have beaten both the Cavs and Warriors this season. Good for them! I hope they make the playoffs.

Didn't the Paul Pierce trade give the Celtics the Nets' farm for years to come? He absolutely should have left; he's helped the team in both the years he played and several after.
