pretty good little Cavs/Wizards game.

I missed OT, but saw the fourth. James went from jerk to hero in three seconds. That was amazing.

I saw this on Reddit last night, so naturally on Deadspin today: http://deadspin.com/michael-jordan-dunked-on-the-warriors-trophy-humping-ow-1792129240

Quote

During an interview on 95.7 FM The Game, Lacob told a story about having dinner with Jordan and a few other owners at the recent collective bargaining agreement negotiations. The Warriors’ failure to win the championship last year despite winning 73 games during the regular season came up, and Jordan couldn’t pass up an opportunity to poor some salt in the wound. Here’s how Lacob recalls the conversation, which he describes as “the moment that hurt me the most this year”:

People were drinking and having a good time and all that, but there was a moment where [Jordan] said, “You know, 73 don’t mean...” Michael Jordan did that, and I looked at him and I just decided not to make a big deal of it. I said, “You know you’re right, we didn’t win it, we had to get better.”

He was fantastic, and I’m not gonna cross him, but that kinda hurt, you know?

There is a 100-percent chance that Jordan will bring this up every time he sees Lacob for the rest of his life, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

Two things:

1. Joe Lacob will never and should never engender sympathy from anyone. No NBA owner should.

2. It's so good to know that Michael Jordan is as much an ass to fellow owners as he was players. Players talk :censored: to each other all the time. Owners probably never hear this kind of direct criticism. Jordan is providing an important public service.

Or keep your phones out:

Watch Oakley hand his watch to his pal. Clearly he's been in this position before.

Kings last 4 games(all at home):

Lose to Suns

Beat the Warriors

Lose to Bulls(Cousins gets a tech late, but he had a point since Wade grabbed his jersey)

Win over Celtics tonight with Cousins suspended with too many technicals

That's the frustrating thing about the Kings. They're good enough when they decide to come together and play, but there are too many times where they don't do that. That or bigger teams just overlook them more than they should, but the sample size is growing on that one so I'm not so sure about that.

This Kings team kinda feels like they could be similar to the 2013-2014 Suns. Hey look at that, they finished strong and only missed the playoffs by one game. They're rounding into form and should be a playoff team next year for sure! Then next year rolls around and haha NOPE.

Sixers in tank mode again. Embiid is fine (it was just a bone bruise weeks ago) but they holding him out bc they were winning. Really screwing fans (again).

It wasn't really a good burn. 73 wins does mean something because it's never been done before, despite the populous "WIN THA RINGZ OR IT DOESN'T MATTER" mentality. Also, Jordan's been a pretty terrible owner himself.

Who was the best team in 2001 baseball? Not the Mariners. What team is better -- the perfect regular season Pats that lost to the Giants? Or the perfect Dolphins?

What's better, winning the President's Trophy or the Stanley Cup?

Of course 73 wins means less than 72 without the title. MJ is right. That Jordan is a bad owner doesn't make him wrong about the importance of titles over regular season wins.
