But which asset can you get for him which improves the team?

Intra-division trade for either Butler or George and move Love to the post permanently?

Lock off LeBron, Kyrie, and Love from any trade talks and start calling to see if anyone wants to make a deal. Ideally, someone like Hassan Whiteside would do them wonders, but that's all Miami really has to build around. I don't see a good fit in free agency, except maybe if you can get Blake Griffin but I'd have my doubts.

The answer to one god team shouldn't be another one.

Maybe Curry all of a sudden feels a strong desire to relocate to his hometown this off-season. Obviously that won't happen but that's kind of the last chance to stop this machine, right? That or age.

Curry will be a Hornet when he's 36 every one around here feels it.

But you do have a point of injury. That's primarily the reason why that they are able to keep everyone under (or just slightly over) the cap. I know the cap keeps rising, but the money is gonna catch up eventually. Also both Steph and KD have had injury problems in this year alone, but currently that team can take a hit and keep going, it feels like.

Or maybe the basketball gods will keep shining their grace on Golden State for 10 more years, sports are crazy and never fun.

Warriors have Curry's and Klay's Bird Rights, but not KD's. Curry this off season and Klay in 2019. Draymond is signed up to 2020.

The NBA has always been top-heavy, but good lord. This is just silly.

The repeater tax plus privately building your own arena will still take a toll on overall spending versus income.

Unlike the SF Giants, the Dubs don't co-own a cable network and in 2017, it's too hard to create one now (ask the Dodgers who have double the games).

The yellow shirt thing? The arena is super small. Also, the Warriors bench stands on the damn court while the Cavs are running their offense.

What's funny here is some guy in the press box or a suite gave up on the game to watch some mediocre wrestling action.

This series is over, and I bet next season is already summed up. Golden State is just too God-like, no one is beating this core in a seven-game series.

This seems to be getting too ahead here, but what is the legacy of winning 3 in 4 years compared to a threepeat (especially when it was seriously only a few minutes away from a fourpeat)?

Again, that's getting WAY too far ahead, but you brought it up, so...

I didn't even notice that due to knowing your GSW dislike.

That said, it is media in a suite.

You are pretty much wrong on everything I've ever seen you post here.  Cavs also never beat the Warriors once with a healthy Steph or Green for 7

Funny, since I don't remember you laying out the truth with any of your opinions either. I still remember the Waiters pick nonsense you were pushing to no end.

And, so what? Warriors are in no position to make excuses whatsoever, especially that game 5 that Green was suspended is the lamest thing to do, when they still had 2 games after that to finish it off. (And for the record, Curry said himself he was at 100%. Not that it matters.) If the Warriors win a championship this time, it will be the first time they do it with 2/3 of the opponent's stars not sitting on the sidelines in suits.

So, GT* off of me already.

I wasn't "pushing Dion Waiters nonsense,"  I know your homerism doesn't allow you to see objectively, but I was explaining the reasons for picking him.  I was highlighting his strengths and weaknesses.  I also said I wouldn't have picked him, period.

Solid deflecting though.

Everyone except Chris Grant and seemingly you saw objectively. It wasn't hard to see in this case. The period was put long ago.

Don't you have a Florida State to the Big Ten to back up?

North Carolina.  Possibly Georgia Tech.

I'm not sure you know what objectivity means.

I spoke to his strengths and his weakness... where he could thrive and where he could struggle.  I never said it was a bad/dumb/wrong pick... but I also never said it was a good/smart/right pick.  I said I understood WHY they picked him that high.  I understood what they were trying to do.

To throw my prediction out here: Cavs in 7, coming from a optimistic pessimist of a Cavs fan.

But honestly, at the moment it's feeling like Warriors in 4. KD is a very good player and brings so much to that Warriors squad. I saw what he's done in Game 1 & 2, and I know that's gonna continue. My head's telling me not to panic, we were down 2-0  and (3-1) last year. This is Believeland after all. I believe that the Cavs can do it.

I think coming home will really benefit the Cavs, and hopefully we leave Cleveland in a tied series. We need everyone to step up if we want to win this series. LeBron is LeBron, and I'm glad Kevin Love has shown up this series, but there's so many key Cavs that aren't really showing up. Kyrie has been average so far and JR and Tristan have done next to nothing, which might come down to matchups (JR on Klay is a rubbish matchup for JR, would rather see Shump start as he's a better defender). The bench has been too quiet in their time on the floor, and that needs to change. I also need to see some Derrick Williams and Channing as I think both of them could really be a key in this series. Deron I feel can also be quite handy at times, but hasn't shown it so far either.

I still think the Cavs can do it in 7. Until the game we go down 4-something, I will still think the Cavs can do it.

Durant is such a chump. It's cringeworthy to see him celebrate like he's earned something when all he did was join a 73-win team that already won without him.

It's amazing that he's garnered about a 100th of the criticism LeBron did.  OK, LeBron is supposed to be "the" guy and his "decision" production was off-putting, but at least he helped an average team get better after leaving a pretty hopeless situation in Cleveland.  Durant had the opportunity to get another crack at these guys and try to right the wrong of the 2016 Conference Finals.  And he could have done it with only a one-year commitment.*  Instead, he skipped out on the challenge of trying to make that happen and joined a team that probably could have won it all without him.  It was the ultimate coattail-ride.

*And I think that's the part that bugs most...that he could have had one more shot at 'em before having to make a long-term decision.  At that point, I'd be a bit less hard on him.  Part of it is about the laziness of counting rings (and ignoring circumstances) from fans/media that he probably bought into; maybe there is no extra satisfaction with a hard-earned effort to finally get your team over a huge hump than there is just joining a juggernaut.

And LeBron's still the villain.
