I'm not so sure on the idea of writing this series off as a sweep yet for the Warriors like it's nothing. It's not like they drew some magical-run-for-the-ages Pacers or something they could wipe the floor with; the Cavs are uh, pretty good. And yeah I know, Eastern Conference sucks, we all get it. But if the Cavs are this good, shouldn't they be demolishing this conference anyways? That's pretty much what the Warriors would've done over there too.

Until Golden State is up 3-0 in the series and by 15+ with two minutes to go in game 4, I'm not thinking this is a sweep. Warriors in 6.

No matter what the outcome is though, all I want is for either 1) LeBron to chasedown block THE HECK out of Draymond or Durant (like spike it so hard off the backboard it thuds sickeningly and gets shot back to center court in a hurry), or 2) Draymond to attempt to sack kick someone again only to miss, slip and fall right on his back Jerry Lewis style, act like Love or someone fouled him, then not get any call. Either of those and I'm set.

Bruh, people are allowed to be complete homers here, otherwise I'd have been banned ages ago due to my Cowboys homerism.

Not saying homerism should be disallowed, just pointing it out.

Okay...you win the internet for today.

I'm surprised there aren't more "Can Kevin Durant really win the big one?" stories?

That was a pretty big chokejob last summer immediately covered up by a bigger chokejob by the Warriors.

Exhibit A: Fan of team 1 gloriously proclaims they will curb-stomp team 2, and that team 2 will be lucky to win one game. This fan is overconfident in his own team and vastly underestimates the talent of team 2.

Exhibit B: Trying to outdo his opponent, fan of team 2 proclaims in an equally dubious statement that he wouldn't be surprised if his team wins in a sweep. His team, which most people would claim is inferior talent-wise, is coming of a shorter rest than team 1 and will not have homecourt advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen, what we have here are homers.

I've been posting here for a long time and Bucfan's been here for most of it. I've seen him have to deal with the Sharks' annual postseason prolapse year after year.

So I don't blame him for being overly excited about a team he knows can go the distance.

Its definitely a weird feeling. But I sure am feeling it. This team can pull this off.

Cuyahoga County, the county in which Cleveland resides, was the bluest county in the entire state. So...

To be sure, I'm not saying you should predict your team to lose, in fact I have the Dubs winning myself. I just don't think you (or anyone) should be dismissing a LeBron-led team so easily. This isn't 2007.

Given how damn near nothing has gone right in terms of NBA/NHL/NFL since last June, I'm basically expecting another Cavs/Pens repeat double dip just because I can't have nice things.

I'm more anti-Cavs than pro-Warriors, so basically Go Not LeBron.

I know this has been said before, but goddamnit the NBA is not helping by unnecessarily pushing this back an extra 2-3 days. Seriously, this is ridiculous. The NBA needs to not make the season run into June.

I don't care about the scheduling. I've missed basketball, but I'd rather have more and not less of it.

Cavs in 6. I think they've played better in the playoffs against better competition. The Warriors are more sophisticated than the Celtics, but I think Game 3 in the ECF showed that the Cavs can weather a 3-point barrage. I also don't expect James to not show up in any of the Finals games.

James is the best player. Curry the streakiest. Durant is great but he's not carrying their offense the way James or Kyrie can. And I think a self-actualized Kyrie, like in ECF Game 4, will be the difference maker. Threes are good. So too is consistent scoring around the rim that can't be stopped.

Draymond probably won't self destruct this time but who knows. Zaza shouldn't be allowed to play.

Dubs in six. I read something yesterday and I found it interesting: it's about matchups. LeBron>KD, Klay>JR Smith/Love, Draymond>Tristan Thompson/Love. Those matchups should cancel each other out, which leaves us with Curry vs. Kyrie. Kyrie ate Curry's lunch last year and did it again on Christmas, but I don't think Curry will play as poorly as he did in last year's Finals. Kyrie is probably the better player in the clutch, but I'll take a chance with Curry getting hot and his better defense. Draymond won't miss a game due to suspension.

According to the rules Zaza should be and is allowed to play. It was ruled a common foul on the floor so no more should be done. If you have a problem with "intent" or the rulebook take it up with the league offices, but what's done is done.
