They could drop the K.

Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. You are 100% correct, but there are so many wrinkles to the Reno aspect. Meruelo has a lot of steps before he can even try to bring hockey to Reno. He hasn't broken ground, and I haven't even heard that the plans have the proper permits approved. That given, a fall '26 start doesn't seem feasible. That would mean an October '27 premiere. Will Tahoe even still be skating by that point? If they aren't getting butts in seats, I see their situation falling apart quickly. If Tahoe is still there, Meruelo's odds are about as bad as they can get in a league that tends to let owners do what they want with their teams. - Meruelo is reportedly a bit of a pariah with the other NHL owners, who make up the majority of AHL ownership. - Tahoe could be entering a market that technically exists in the ECHL, making it more of a risk. I don't think the AHL has profit-sharing, so that might be a non-factor. - Travel costs to Reno would be higher than they are to Tucson. Still, if he wants to do it and has a home for them, the odds are in his favor. The best case scenario here is that Meruelo's interest in an AHL team doesn't last long enough for a Reno move. Then he hopefully sells them to someone wanting to move them to Phoenix, and we get the Phoenix Roadrunners in a full-time Kachina look. Like you have the Golden Knights... then the Silver Knights... and then Knight Monsters. Either go with Bronze Knights or just don't do the Knight mesh-up at all. This name is dumb. Or, give the people what they really want and fold. Or, at least, affiliate with the Sharks so there’s some local support. Not to worry about that last part. This disaster will last a season, tops. FiddySicks
It’s a town whose full time population hovers around 16,000 people, and even that estimate is high. They think there’s enough tourism available to make it work, but I just don’t see how it’s going to work long term. I’ve been here most of my life, and have seen projects like this crash and burn on multiple occasions. That doesn’t even take into account that this is one of the highest snowfall regions in the country, and they’re planning on housing the team in Reno. You could say it’s negative (and I’ve gotten that a LOT from people involved with this project), but it’s more me being realistic. This whole thing is a really poor idea propped up by an already broke Ballys. Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Francis10
ECHL Indy Fuel launched new marks this morning - the focus on the F as well as the effort in general likely aligns with this season's move to the new Fishers Event Center.

That was a dumb name when it first came out...it's still a dumb name now. And of course they'd emphasize The F for Fishers as a secondary mark because of course they would...F'n Fishers. (And why are they moving up to Snootyville, now? I'm surprised there's any more cornfields left to build on up there...) Shumway
These jerseys are so good. I hope it's either a switch to them full time or (more likely) a different color. Still wish the unused (I think?) refrigerator jerseys made a return.

tigerslionspistonshabs
Off topic, but why do the Admirals wear a Brewers patch on their jersey? I mean wouldn't it make sense to wear a patch of their parent team, who, you know...play the same sport?
