Halloween Night in Waco must be a very sterile place

Well yeah, now that Art Briles is gone and in hell.

Empty upper level, Baylor.

Chip and Joanna Gaines and their Magnolia brand helped you through the post-Briles raping years so white HS girls will attend there and be the "next Joanna" or Ree Drummond.

Hey, at least they got rid of their whole "paranoid schizophrenic basketball players murdering teammates" problem. Bliss is probably thanking Briles for taking the heat off of him in Baylor's history.

I once joked about how he was definitely going to end up being the OC at Liberty to hang out with charlatans like Hugh Freeze and the former Baylor AD that was a big fan of covering up sexual assaults. It was pointed out to me however that Freeze would be too smart to hire his own replacement, since that's basically how he ended up with the Arkansas State head job.

App State falls to Georgia Southern. Two years in-a-row that Southern beats a top 25 App team. Also means that top 25 Sun Belt teams are now 0-3 in weeknight games.

Matt Rhule is a very good to excellent football coach, but how does anyone respect him dressed like this...

Granted, it is not Al Golden or PJ Fleck, but I cannot respect a grown man who prefers to dress like that.

Matt makes $5M/year, but we need to see him "dressed up".  No 5 star or even 4 star black family looks at him and thinks positively.. If he looks so messy then, how does he "clean up" to visit your family?

Homeboy is made for either his alma mater, Penn State or for the NFL.

What happened to giving coaches five years? I think Arkansas should give him a few more years. Just in case.

Patience no longer exists in American sports...people wanna win, and they wanna win NOW.

It's the same reason why the Seminole Boosters are almost certainly about to hold a special session to figure out how to go about issuing Taggart, Willie walking papers after this season--especially after that showing today.  (It's only going to get worse from here...unless the reptiles* have a total brain fart at the end of this month, FSU ain't beating UF. That's two straight seasons of losing to the two in-state rivals, and three straight dropped against UM.)

AP NCAA writer Ralph Rosso and Brett McMurphy talked about second year coaches this week

I mostly agree but in the case of Willie, I don't see anything that would make me believe he is capable of turning things around.  The fans are apathetic (empty seats vs Miami), I know some boosters aren't donating until they fire him... I don't see how it gets better with him. At some point, you have to move on before he drags the program down further.

On another note, Florida got outcoached today. Poor showing by Mullen and company.  Which sucks because I think Mullen's usually a better coach than Kirby, but Florida was completely unprepared.

I don't necessarily believe in Taggart, but from everything I've read, the situation in Tallahassee would have been dire for any coach.

I do think that programs and fans are often far too willing to fire somebody. There are times when it's super obvious that the guy you've got isn't going to take you where you want to go. I think that's the case at Arkansas, it's just that I like to see them suffer.

THIS.

The poor APR and seemingly lack of talent on the OL is glaring.

Even the Liberty Bowl has empty seats tonight

we will have a 1 vs 2 next week (LSU vs Alabama).  this game needs to be moved to 8pm (instead of 3:30pm)

NOPE!

CBS cannot move it, period.

The CBS contract with the SEC allows only two doubleheader games and they were previously set for Sept. 21 and Nov. 16.

SEC Nov. 16 games include: Georgia at Auburn, Alabama at Mississippi State and LSU at Ole Miss

They used Notre Dame@Georgia for primetime

Almost positive CBS only gets one night game per year. They went with UGA-ND this year.

Speaking of UGA, how bout them :censored:in Dawgs. Now that Georgia has beaten them, however, it is important to note that Florida actually sucked the whole time and they were only #6 because of SEC bias. Georgia should probably drop to 12 or 16 and receive a postseason ban for even playing such an awful team.

For real though, really good red zone defense by Florida, and that kept them in it. And even though the play calling on Florida's last TD drive was obviously working, the pace was utterly bizarre. They took like 7 minutes off the clock while down 14 and never got the ball back.

Heck, FOX didn't even get Penn State@Minnesota for their Noon(eastern) game.  They picked tOSU@Maryland
