They'll hit the panic button if they lose to Fordham next week.

I mean, he's probably gone unless there's a historic turnaround to come. Fordham would let them cut him off immediately. Also fun that Frost has potentially gotten Nebraska into NCAA trouble all while have a losing record. Truly impressive stuff.

They owe him $20m if they fire him before Jan 1.

I have some issues with Dan Mullen but Florida really dodged two bullets with Chip Kelly and Scott Frost taking the UCLA and Nebraska jobs over Florida.

Feels like all of the times teams failed to get Rich Rodriguez.

Tom Herman is another one where it felt like a no-brainer, chosen one situation and he totally flopped.

Most notably Alabama getting turned down by Rich Rodriguez. Man, the impact that one single decision had on college football...

I’m a Husker fan and I’m officially 100% out on Frost now barring a miracle turnaround. He’s not the guy and he never will be. After four years, getting objectively outcoached by Bret :censored:ing Bielema in Year 1 leading a team that finished dead last in 2020 is as inexcusable as it gets.

i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

I remember Scott Frost as a quarterback in college. One of my first memories of watching Mizzou college football was this back in 1997

Won the national championship that year and as of now, is their most recent national title. It’s clear that the Cornhuskers AD has fallen into some cargo cult for Tom Osborne. It’s still impressive that you can be under .500 at Nebraska and still get into trouble with the NCAA.

Nebraska boosters by up all remaining tickets to keep their sellout streak alive. They then try cover up this obsession with a silly  record by handing them out to underprivileged youth.

How silly. The next closest team is Oklahoma and it would take around 35 years for them to catch up. We'll all be dead by then, so it's fine.

You know things are bad when a sellout streak is what you're trying to fix instead of the football team itself.

2 big upsets today in Week 1

Eastern Washington beating UNLV 35-33 in 2ot
UC DAVIS beating TULSA 19-17

Worth pointing out that Eastern Washington was favored by at least one sportsbook that I saw. Also, that UNLV football is way worse than I had given it credit for. They've had one winning season since the turn of the century when they went 7-6 in 2013. I knew they weren't a good program, but I just assumed they would have had some better seasons on accident.

Tulsa on the other hand was ranked going into the bowls last year.

On the other side of the argument was today's game of the day.

UCF beating Boise 36-31 after starting the first quarter with a Pick 6

Still in disbelief of the Boise State QB's throw.  Just such a terrible decision. But really, it was the 3rd quarter playcalling that did Boise in.

Ibrahim of Minnesota's injury tonight was brutal. You can see the Achilles rupture.
