2021 NFL Season - Adults Arguing About Matt Stafford

This CBS broadcast team is the most dull duo I've ever listened to.   I seriously wish Ian Engle would freeze to death just so they would have to put someone else in there.

Actually, I hope Ian Engle freezes to death, and while he's down, the color guy tries to give him mouth-to-mouth but his mouth freezes to Engle's so he suffocates and dies too, then we get a whole new crew.  Just pick any two random Bills Mafia jabronis and give them the headsets.

It's like listening to Ambien on play by play and Melatonin on color.

Thanks to Kurt Warner and his puffy silver coat, we have been robbed of this opportunity.

Riveting stuff.

Seriously - that story was awful.  How many women have gone on dates with that guy and killed themselves before the appetizers even got served?  I actually now think the other guy is worse.  How do guys like this get jobs in a highly-competitive field?

As much of a die-hard Patriots as I am, I think we all know where this game is heading. Big congratulations to the Bills. They played great, executed on a lot of plays, and it was a well-prepared and well-deserved victory. I can’t think of any huge fans on here off hand right now, or else I'd tag you, but hope you guys enjoy the playoff run.

The loss is meh. As I said before, I didn’t expect the playoffs this year, so anything else beyond game 17 is just gravy. I’d rather the Patriots get a better placed first draft pick (I mean multiple draft picks in later rounds, ya’ll know how that works) instead of making it too far and hurting their position. I was never confident with this group of receivers nor the defense as a whole. There were glimpse of "oh, this is one of those Patriots defense that sputters out at the end of the year into the playoffs" and sure enough, those vibes were correct. I'm hoping for some major overhauls this offseason, and seeing old friends like Hightower and Van Noy being sent to pasture instead of huffing and puffing to keep up with younger offensive weapons.

I know some people will disagree with this, and that’s okay, but in my opinion Mac Jones played well this evening, and had a great season. It doesn’t help to be a rookie QB in the playoffs. It doesn’t help to play in such a hostile environment. It doesn’t help when the offensive line is leaking pressure. It doesn’t help when your receivers have 6-7 drops. Despite that, Mac Jones played well tonight. I thought this team was done when James White was injured earlier in the season, as I thought he would be a tremendous safety net for Mac. I am very excited about the Patriots’ future with Mac Jones as their QB. If they can get a WR1, Jones is going to do some special things.

I just wish tonight's game was more competitive, and I wish even more Ian Eagle didn't have to announce it. At least the Bruins won today!

Man, I was thinking the same. This commentary is dreadful. They should give an option to switch to local radio.

I always listen to local radio, but I'm in my local market and have a syncing thing.  For you, if you have Sirius, you can listen to the local broadcast but there's a wicked delay, so you'd have to monkey with however TV broadcast to try and sync it.

The biggest shame is this is likely to be the last home playoff game for Buffalo this year. This crowd is great.

Maybe the Bills shouldn't have blown it against Jacksonville!

No. That game took place in the first round in Pittsburgh last season.

Knew I was forgetting something. No shame in being #2 when that’s the competition.

Since we're talking announcers, I thought Drew Brees was awful on the Raiders - Bengals game.

Just because you balled out, doesn't always translate to the booth.

Buffalo is putting that hurt on New England right now...straight dominating.

DO NOT let up in the second half, Mr.. McDermott...keep that same energy!

I think he heard me...from way out here in snowy South Dakota. 😁

And after checking the bracket again, if I read it right, then provided KC dusts Pittsburgh--which for the sake of the mental health of this entire country save for SWPA they better--this Bills team is on a head-on collision course with King Henry (if he even plays, which by all accounts he should) and the Snatit.

If they keep this same energy when they get to Nashville--again, assuming KC does their job--I like Buffalo's chances. (Especially since I still don't trust the Snatit to capitalize on their opportunity.)
