Lol well I definitely don’t want to ever see the Pads do well, but I will absolutely take it when they knock out the team with the most annoying fanbase in the NL (yeah yeah, Cardinals. I’m from Nor Cal). Hell yeah, guys.

Go Phillies.

Eagles are playing in Houston on Thursday November 3.  That stadium will be 90% Philadelphia fans who are likely staying for the weekend.

If the Astros advance, game 6 of the World Series will be in Houston on Friday November 4.  Just sayin...

Get ready to meet a bunch of "rational" rednecks. Houston fans are the worst.

Remember when Dave Roberts said to put it on record that the Dodgers were winning it all this year? And now they aren't even going to the NLCS?

I swear, these morons never learn. It's as stupid as those people who get championship tattoos of their teams before they actually win the championship. Your team deserves to lose after doing/saying arrogant crap like that

Padres vs. Phillies - (just like every guessed,😄 ) NLCS will be pretty fun. Can't really hate either team winning it since it's been so long for either them. Personally gotta go with the Padres. Slam Diego deserves a Championship after all their other teams abandoned them.

A Guardians - Padres/Phillies world series is something I could get behind. Also the irony would be hilarious if Cleveland wins their first world series in half a century immediately after dropping the "Indians" name & imagery.

10 straight postseasons, 1 WS championship. 🙄 Crashed and burned again.

It’s truly amazing to see how much money the Dodgers have put into all of this for basically zero return. Even the one title came in a severely shortened year in “the bubble”, and while I don’t want to argue too much that it “cheapened” it or anything, it definitely can’t feel as good for Dodgers fans as it should’ve otherwise. It’s like the 90s Braves but exasperated. It’s really kind of astonishing. Feels like one of the biggest organizational failures I can ever remember. I really have to wonder why more of that success just isn’t translating into more postseason success.

For as much as I genuinely dislike the Dodgers, I sort of feel bad for that fanbase. And I have to respect how many Dodgers fans are taking this in stride rather than just constantly being such whiney bitches about it all (ahem, Yankees fans). That takes character.

They underachieved when they had a terrible manager who simply didn't care and was in it just for the check.  Joe Girardi "lead" them to 8-games under .500 by June 1.

Since June 1 they were 23 over .500.  If you were to give me that clip for an entire season, I'd probably argue that they over achieved, given 1) Nick "walking garbage" Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber were supposed to alternate at DH, but Harper tore his UCL and hasn't been able to play the field all year, so those stiffs have had to play.  2) Harper (playing at an MVP level at the time) and Jean Segura each missed two months with broken thumbs, and 3) Didi Gregorious wasted a roster spot (as well as oxygen) for 3/4 of the season before they let him go so that the few young home-grown guys they have could play.

The team is very flawed, and they tried to buy their way out of poor player development and it backfired (because that always backfires) and the irony is that they're probably behind where they'd be had they not signed stiffs to $100M contracts.  But when their guys are hot then they can beat anyone - the problem is that they have a habit of going ice cold at the worst times.

I will be the first to admit, I didn't see this coming! Not with Girardi clearly, ...looking brighter with Thompson....but (ugh), it really did feel like a total collapse was coming nearing the end, not even making the Postseason. (Yeah, The Brewers helped!) Pretty darn inconsistent, one night offense is looking insane...the next, bats are dead and looking lifeless in general. - just losing frustrating games they SHOULD have won.  Right now, it FEELS like this team can win it all...everyone on the team is clicking. I won't get ahead of myself, just feeling optimistic.  Padres look like they are no joke...I'm underestimating them at all.

Right now, the NLCS. Nope..again, didn't think this would happen! It hasn't been this exciting around here in Philly in a VERY long time and man, does this city need it!

*Flyers going 2-0 (that's unreal also)....And if Eagles win tonight, beating Dallas and remaining undefeated, this may be one of the greatest sports weekends in the city's history.
