It's also where I get PT (security isn't too fun to get through this time of year... especially when on foot and not in a car and they assume you're a fan). GDAWG
So will teams forget the hail mary exists and continue to call that stupid lateral play to end a game as they did last season?

Both have about the same chance of success, if anything the hook and later may have a larger chance of success. It really depends on where in the field they are and the QB’s arm talent. There is a reason it’s called a Hail Mary because you are just throwing the ball down field and praying your team comes down with it when it’s at most 5 receivers vs at minimum 8 defenders in the endzone. The lateral spreads the field and gives more options which you need the further you have to go.

The Hail Mary works several times each year.
BBTV
Hail Mary can also draw a penalty - either PI, roughing the passer, etc. It’s rare - if it’s even ever happened - but I can’t imagine the lateral play has a higher chance of success than the Hail Mary. 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." GDAWG
So which of these teams who have questions at QB to start the season will take themselves out of the QB market at the end of the season? It will be too early to tell for Carolina, Houston and Indy. There's also Desmond Ridder, Sam Howell and Jordan Love. I sort of want to see Arizona end up as the worst team in the NFL, spending the offseason trying to see who trades for Kyler Murray and failing to trade him and he's still on their roster when they draft Caleb Williams. Who then tells Arizona that's he making enough NIL money at USC that he will wait for a better option next year. 1 Quote It's where I sit.
dont care
Well has Carson wentz and trey lance made teams wake up and not select FBS qb’s high to just see them be mentally weak from beating up on less competition.
FiddySicks
Niners are really dumb. This is gonna come back to bite them, I just know it. Why in the world would they make this trade with Dallas, of all teams? Niners trading Trey Lance to Cowboys. I don't really want to defend the Niners, but trading Lance makes sense. Injuries and being in a "win-now" mode made it pretty obvious that, despite the price they paid for him, he wasn't going to be their guy. Even if he didn't get injured, a team in "win-now" mode isn't going to take a guy with almost no sample size over QB's who have started more than five games. He was at a dead end on the Niners and the Cowboys are a good place to offload him. It's not like he's gonna be the missing piece for Dallas.
