Honestly, Baker has seemed pretty decent up to this point and the defense has been a solid mid-to-upper tier product so far. I said with the upside, they could be 9-8 or 10-7 and win the division and I'm sticking to it. But when you see them play a team like Philly, who I hate because of the obstacle they were from 2000-2002, you get reminded of just how far they have to climb back to championship contention.

Yeah I’m not expecting them to be Super Bowl contenders, but it would be nice if they remained competitive. All you can really hope for is that they beat the teams they’re supposed to, and maybe catch a game or two from the better teams. So far, they’ve done at least that. As long as they’re not embarrassing, I’m happy.

It’s fool’s gold if the administration, ownership and coaching staff are beyond incompetent like they are in Glendale or Arlington Park. Otherwise? Yeah, there’s a shot at reinvigorating a franchise.

When 50% of first round picks are 'just a guy', it's a crapshoot. How are those 5 first round QBs from the first 15 picks of 2021 working out?

Let’s see: Trevor Lawrence at least seems to be above average at worst and really good at best and took a terrible team one year to a division title and a playoff win the next. After firing Sub-Urban Meyer, it turns out he wasn’t too bad, go figure

Zach Wilson: Dude is playing for the Jets. Do I truly need to say much more?

Trey Lance: The 49ers found their QB but it turns out it was Mr. Irrelevant. They also happen to have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL .

Justin Fields: Went to the Graveyard of Quarterbacks known as Chicago.
Mac Jones: Was a rookie All-Pro. His issue is more his supporting cast and a coach who should’ve ridden off into the sunset when Brady left IMO.

Like that? Turns out you need a solid roster and competent coaching to succeed.

Third time's a charm can apply to a lot of things, but drafting a third quarterback with a first round pick in seven years is a complete institutional failure.

Wilson, Lance, and Fields are all terrible. And Jones was a Pro Bowler not All-Pro

I don't remember what kind of season he had, but I'd be willing to bet that the only reason Mac Jones made the Pro Bowl was because he said yes after all the good QBs passed on playing in it.

Lions might actually win the North.

Which I hope they do, This team isn't the Same Ol Lions like we're used to and Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes have brought a winning culture to Detroit. This is a Lions fan who's seen 0-16 and Millen. This team hits different and this wait from all the bad and to get this team makes me feel special to watch. I hope this team can win a Super Bowl in the next few years. Because this fan has been waiting 32 years since the last time I've seen a playoff win. And been waiting 42 years for a Super Bowl

Even two weeks ago when they had a setback, they didn't look THAT bad against Seattle. If anything, they're an OT coin toss from 4-0

So I read what you're saying as you need the high draft pick to get a good QB, but the QB will only be good if he's on a good team. But good teams don't get the high draft picks.

As for good QBs, look at the first round of 2020. 4 of the first 5 QBs are pretty good. We're learning about the fifth this year.

There’s a second-rounder from that class that’s alright too.
