I think Chris mentioned in an article for one of the city connect releases this past season that a team that already had a city connect jersey will be getting a new one. I'd assume it's either LA or the Giants given the poor reception of their initial jerseys, but I wouldn't necessarily say that they're locks. Yep, it’s just a matter of whether they’ll try to fit them all in for 2024 or push some of them back to 2025. Hal Steinbrenner also said the Yankees have no plans for a City Connect, so we’ll see if that remains true. They wore their regular uniforms in ST during the Fregosi years, which I'm old enough to remember, so it wouldn't be too shocking for me to see that again. I just wish they had the balls to give Nike the finger with this city connect nonsense. It'll be intriguing to see how certain designs, such as those with stripes above the edge of the sleeve, like the Orioles and Braves, or teams with pinstripes will adapt to the cuffs of the new template. The team with an upper-half City Connect and an identity that throws away a clear slam dunk with their original colors is looking to change... the former. Unless they're going to teal-ify the City Connect as a test balloon. Or they could just be planning on making the throwback their City Connect so they could add another alt in their current scheme.
