I picked the Phils to win the wildcard over the Cards and Giants because i feel they have the better lineup and good enough top of the rotation starters. The Giants' age worry me and the Cardinals have lost parts over the last few years and are a Rolen or Edmonds injury away from a very weak lineup. Everything will have to fall perfectly into place for the Phils to win the WC, but I have a very good feeling.

Sorry for the double post, but here is the 2005 prediction thread. As we make our picks for this year, it is interesting to look back to see how we did last year.

Screw all this winning :censored:, let's have some fun.

I predict that the Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Florida Marlins, Seattle Mariners will all be last place teams. Florida will lose in the 107-112 range and earn the first pick in the 2007 Amatuer Draft.

I predict Barry Bonds' knee will allow him to play 90-100 games and hit 25-30 home runs.

I predict the will Atlanta Braves finish 2nd in their division.

I predict at least 2 guys will hit 50 home runs.

I predict Roger Clemens will pitch for the Houston Astros again this year.

I predict the first manager to be fired will be Clint Hurdle (and it will be before the All-Star Break). Don't sleep on Frank Robinson being canned either, especially if the Nationals get a new owner. Especially if Lou Pinella has any interest.

They are so out there that it's impossible. Teams from the same division can't face each other in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
