Yeah I think its terrible too. I love their home jerseys. orange and navy work so well togather. The alt looks so dull to me.

Let's all keep in mind that the Oilers have not used Orange since the 1995-1996 season.

It's Metallic Copper.

Yeah, but with an electric red pinstripe on either side of that copper stripe. Personally, I think a very bright red with that oil-rig guy on the front would be a great jersey.

I think everyone would agree with you.

Except Canucks fans seem to have horrible taste for some reason. Their current stuff is the best they've ever had. And they need to distance themselves from their past. :P

Amen!

That is one of their current alt logos, with the Macfarlane oil drop being the other. Last I checked, it was on their sleeves.

And it's been on their shoulders for around nine years

Capitals - same logo, patriotic colors

Thrashers - ditching the original dark blue w/ alternate logo sweater; will only wear the ATLANTA-sleeved sweater at home next season

Ducks and Sabres new logos/sweaters unveiling at the Draft.  And I think you guys have been had on the Ducks' design....

The Trashers are going to wear those ugly light blue unis for their home jerseys? :cursing:

At least they're not going to use the thunder chicken logo for their home unis.

Atlanta Braves, please bring back the Indian Head logo.

The old Cancuks logo is very bland, they should keep the whale they have now

That Canuck "C" logo is just a wanna be Hartford Whalers logo. Then when the whale moves away and becomes the Hurricanes, they take the whale idea too... shameless.

Everybody loved the Hartford whale, and they are trying to jump on that bandwagon, except there c version stinks, it isn't even a good second or third logo. When I first saw it I thought it was a Whalers logo that they threw away.

You do realize that the Canuck's whale is a tie-in to their ownership group, right and has nothing to do with Hartford in any way, shape or form?

It all sounds sketchy to me... I don't buy any of this!

Long live the whale!

Corporate logo or not, the orca rocks.

I like it. Who else can lay claim to a sports logo with a killer whale?

killer_whale.jpg

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

Delayed reaction....

Thrashers change to the ATLANTA-sleeved home sweater is 99.9% certainty (bowing to PANTONE's "nothing in life is 100%"...words to live by). NHL licensees received their artwork files for 06-07 (including Ducks, Sabres and Capitals), and the new files for the Thrashers nixed the old navy blue T-Bird logo as the primary home sweater (actually, that sweater was gone altogether).

"Actually, it was gone." (What movie utilized the "altogether" play on words?)

Now, I myself being of honest mind and spirit, and associated with a licensee that did not need access to the new logos now (re: short production time), so I am not totally privy to the Ducks, Sabres and Capitals exact artwork, but from associates who do have the logos, you guys have been pretty much dead on with the Sabres and Capitals, about 70% off on the Ducks. But again, that's hearsay since they aren't sharing the logos because supposedly the files have "tracking devices" on them.

That, I don't believe.

Now the question is, if no one is watching a great Stanley Cup Playoffs, who in thee hell will be watching the NHL Draft? Not the best avenue to unveil a new logo/sweater.
