FiddySicks
ESPN reports that Jason Schmidt is going to the Dodgers for $47M over 3 years.Schmidt's a good signing at that price. He's healthier than Mulder and better than Zito. He's also been outstanding against the Diamondbacks. Here's hoping that age and Juan Pierre in CF catch up w/ him.Well, there goes another player who instantly transforms himself from badass to bitch. Heres to Schmidt's arm falling off after he gets raked for a season or two. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) FiddySicks
Now that Schmidt is in Dodgerland how about Zito to the GiantsThat'd be beautiful, but I seriously doubt it. Its not like they dont have the money, especially with all the big contracts theyve lost, but I just dont see SF taking the initative to accually strengthen their staff with anyone under 75 years of age. Shumway
J.D. Drew is seriously getting 70 million? That's just horrendous. Everyone already seems to hate the guy, judging by the fact that Curt Schilling had to come out and say "give the guy a chance". They won't pay Johnny Damon something like 12 mil, but they'll pay J.D. Drew, whose autograph I have, 70 million?I laugh at you, Boston. Then again, the Angels gave Gary Matthews 50 million, so I laugh at myself.
HedleyLamarr
With a Ramirez deal all but impossible, the Angels are looking into Adam LaRoche. Figgins and Casey Kotchman are the ones apparently attracting interes from the Braves.I'd love to have that .285 avg, 32 HRs in the lineup.Apparently Chad Tracy is also an option at this point, not to my delight. Adrian Beltre is an interest, although it's unlikely Seatlle will move him, especially to the Halos.Hmm....Figgins would fill the leadoff role, and also is a 2B. I bet Marcus Giles would be part of this deal. But it looks like this smoke is starting to fade: Link

FiddySicks
Gonzo to the Dodgers for 7 million Whats with all these HUGE contracts this year for garbage? Is this the new trend, or the year where EVERYONE overpaid? On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) CC97
Ted Lilly to the Cubs...MooseLilly's another one of those very frustrating players... he's got mad talent, but he's got issues in the head. He should do amazing pitching in the NL Central though, good pickup for the Cubs... as long as Lou doesn't try taking him out of a game after giving up 7 runs in 2 innings, of course. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram

Wow, there's a stunner.well, Ken Rosenthal said last night on Sportsnet that Meche wanted to go to a place where he would have a bunch of media around him so Kansas City will be a good fit for him. and in other news Jays picked up INF Jason Smith from the Cubs in the Rule 5 Draft. BB61
Phillies acquire Freddy Garcia from the White Sox for Gavin Floyd and a PTBNLThat PTBNL is minor-leaguer Gio Gonzalez.Great move to sure up the starting rotation with Wolfy gone. With six starters either someone is going to be relegated to the pen, or someone will be moved (the money right now is on Lieber).
Shumway
One of my all-time favorites hung up the cleats today, J.T. Snow. He'll be working for the Giants in a bunch of roles including broadcasting, minor league coach, assistant to GM Brian Sabean, and spring training instructor. He'll also be a representative for the Giants for certain events.J.T. is definitely the best defensive 1B I've ever seen. I'd love to actually get a chance to meet him someday.
