illwauk
Both sides get paid. These aren't high school kids, these are professionals, which means it's a job. Since it's a matter of a job, it's not the Cheaters' job to stop themselves, it's the defense's job. If these defenses can't do their jobs, they end up on the business end of 56-10, 52-7, etc.I agree. Think about it .... if a company and it's employees decided to "slow" down just out of sympathy for their competitors I'm sure there would be a lot of upset people (eg. workers, shareholders, capitalists etc.) So, why would pro football players be any different? And now my stance on this issue has changed. I was against the Patriots running up the score, but after thinking this over, I figured "Hey, it isn't high school. These aren't kids. These are grown men, and they're paid to do their job." And Quad's (sorry for the throwback. ) post proves it. Why should a company slow down if their competitors are slow? And would they slow down? Heck no, they want that money. And I guess it's the same with the Patriots. They aren't going to slow down because they want to guarantee victory without a shadow of a doubt. I still hate the Patriots, but I guess now I respect their gangsta. Anyone else find the "but it's a business" mentality to be the slightest bit pretentious? I can't be the only one... If I'm going to use another business analogy, if there was more, and better competition, then the fans (consumers) should benefit (be more excited) in the end. I saw, I came, I left. Chief.
Herm Edwards burns a timeout, THEN challenges the play, THEN loses the challenge (losing ANOTHER timeout), THEN goes for it on 4th and 1 losing by three in field goal range. Worst game management I've seen in a long time watching this team. Oakland gets their first win in Arrowhead Stadium since 2001, marking a third straight home loss. Anyone want Herman Edwards to drive their team into the ground? Kansas City would be glad to be rid of him.

I wish you were right and Herm would be gone after this year, but Carl Peterson runs this franchise with a focus on mediocrity. rams80
I know I make seppuku cracks a lot, but.....Gus Frerotte...I...and the rest of Rams nation...honestly, and seriously, demand your seppuku after that performance.Honestly...fumbling the flippin' snap on FOURTH AND ING GOAL ON THE ONE YARD LINE WHEN YOU ARE DOWN BY FIVE!!!!IT WAS EVEN THE FLIPPIN' BACKUP CENTER WHO WAS DOING THE SNAPPING! HOW MUCH ARE THE RAMS PAYING YOU TO SUCK?!I was driving back to school on the freeway when that play went down...and fortunately I had enough self-discipline not to punch something while I was going 70. tBBP
I find myself in an unusual position tonight. I am actually rooting for a team from Philadelphia. I don't think that I've ever done that before. And the sad part is that they were actually up for a brief moment. Looks to be 24-21 at the half as I type this (following the game on broadband LiveCast). The bigger question out of the Patriots: where's the EFFORT? Where's the SWAGGER? Where's that killer instinct they've had all year? I mean, to only be up by 3 at the half--and to have actually been DOWN to the Eagles--the EAGLES--at HOME, no less...you KNOW Belichick is in that locker room just conjuring up demon spirits right now, telling them boys how much they suck and how pathetic they're looking thus far. Then, in the third quarter, they'll go out and score on their next possession and proceed to score 30 or so more points the rest of the way while holding the Birdies to maybe a TD or FG the rest of the way... *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
