Players in the "wrong" uniforms

Recommended Posts

This was an excellent idea for a thread, but I think we exhausted its true purpose in the first several pages. Now, people are posting in it, just to post. Come on, almost every athlete plays for a handful of teams over a career anymore, it's kind of stupid to keep posting pics every time a guy (especially someone fairly young) gets traded or signs with another team. We had something here, when we were sticking to big stars who played maybe that one year somewhere else, or oddball stuff like Mike Piazza with the Marlins. Now we're just being stupid.

Seriously? Not only is it beyond old, LeBron was just posted on the previous page. I think it's high time that people got over it.

I think he's trying to make a joke that the Cavaliers uniform is the "wrong" one for LeBron...

I think.

Correct. Whether one thinks it's wrong or not he's going to be in that Heat uniform for a while. Eventually that's what he'll be associated with

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Um, he played nearly half his career thus far with the Nets.

Yeah, but he has none of the persona attached to his years there. In Boston he gained a reputation as the championship-winning bench-warmer. And in Chicago, he is a celebrity. In New Jersey, he was just a guy on the team. Its not just a number of years, its how memorable they were, or weren't
