-Julius Jones signs with Detroit, and Detroit then trades TJ Duckett to the Seattle Seahawks.

Where did you hear this? T.J. Duckett was a free agent, they didn't trade him. Julius Jones visited today, but I do't see anything about him signing. The Lions also appear to be interested in Warrick Dunn. I would love it if they can get him.

Oh, and the Raiders signed Javon Walker.

Take it for what it's worth. The guy who posted the link on another forum said this was legit: http://spartannation.com/?p=3757

And yah, sorry, it was a signing, I just screw that up all the time whenever I see the headline "[player name] to [city/team]" I assume trade, when I should no better, since trade's rarely occur in the NFL.

Oh, no I meant the Julius Jones signing. Ducket to Seattle is true, but I still haven't seen anything about the Lions signing Jones.

Hmm...I did see a report with "Lions sign Julius Jones" but it's been taken down since, so I guess somebody jumped the gun.

Another move in the meantime:

Kwame Harris signs with Oakland. (Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.)

Wow, Harris moves across the Bay just to sit on the bench. Man, and my season ticket order for the Raiders will

be charged next Tuesday. Can't wait for the draft. Overall, I just consider it a cover charge for live NFL.

Plus, Tank, Griese will be Garcia's backup with McCown as the 3rd. Chris Simms will not play another down for the

Bucs again.

Yeah you did. Again. <_<

And I just want to drop a giant thank you to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization for completely failing to fill a single damn hole this off season, while teams in the division only got stronger. Big ups Allen, can't wait to see you and Chucky outta work next off season. :cursing:

Was there a reason that Atlanta didn't use Shockley AT ALL last season? They had absolutely nothing to lose, so why not try him out?

Torn ACL, IIRC. He was out for the season.

And yeah, this means the Falcons are going to draft a QB. Not necessarily in the 1st round and not necessarily Ryan either.

He tore it third game of the preseason. But, if they don't draft Ryan, then who?

Joey Harrington is gone. I'm sure this is terrible news for the lone Harrington fan on these boards.

So David Garrard is the only QB left starting from the 2002 draft...

No, Steve Bellisari is starting for the New Orleans VooDoo :D

He wasn't drafted as a quarterback, so he doesn't count. <_<:cursing:

Teddy Lehman to the Bucs. Good riddance, although I'm not sure I like Paris Lenon as a starting MLB.

WTF? Uggh, why?

I've been pleased with the Saints so far. They got Jonathan Vilma for next to nothing and also signed Randall Gay, who is supposedly a better man-to-man cover corner than Jason David. Of course, based on his play last year, I'm a better cover corner than Jason David. B)

We'll see how they do in the draft. Supposedly they inquired about trading for Jeremy Shockey but I'm glad nothing came of that. He's a great TE but seems to be a disruptive force on the Giants.

Going off-topic...for you Bucs fans, just watched the excellent NFL Network "America's Game" episode featuring the '02 Super Bowl champion Bucs. They showed clips from most of their games, and I kept waiting to see the Saints, but they never did show highlights from either game. I knew the Saints beat them in OT in week 1 but couldn't remember the other game, which it turns out was a 23-20 Saints win in New Orleans. So the Saints didn't even make the playoffs that year but accounted for 2 of the Super Bowl Champion Bucs' 4 losses.
