jkrdevil
Wow could Pitt be the first ever 1st seed to lose to a 16 seed?Still a full half to go.Cornell is playing Missouri tight as well, but again still a full half to go.
WJMorris3
Come on, ETSU, earn us some Roastburgers. I mean, it's been 11 years since a 16 beat a 1 in the Division 1 NCAA basketball tournament.

I'd actually bet on UConn's women's team to beat a few men's tourney teams.
jkrdevil
That 3 is the dagger. They got a quick 2 afterward but down by 6 with a minute to go is going to be tough.ETSU missed 12 free throws. If you want to pull an upset you can't leave free points like that. Those 11 points ends up being the difference.
Epiphanic
Looking at the stats, ETSU had everything for the upset. Yeah they've missed a lot of free throws, but they're only -3 compared to Pitt from the charity stripe. What hurt them was their 31% shooting from the floor (Pitt: 44%). If they were 40% from the floor they'd be up by 6 in the closing seconds instead of down 8. "In the arena of logic, I fight unarmed."I tweet & tumble. gingerbreadmann
Finally got an upset on my side, thanks Dayton (and screw Temple).Anyway, when in the hell will a 16 beat a 1 seed! Stop fizzling out at the end, it's so disappointing. Ah well. Let's see how well Morehead St. fares. I'm guessing not well. And only 5 minutes till BC - USC. Can't wait.
