I personally think my negative reaction came from the quality of the leaked photos. The jersey seems to be a dead animal hanging awkwardly, and the lighting is horrible. I will wait on these until I see one in person or see them in a game. I like the idea and the colors(if they are the same colors as before), and the design ain't half bad. In cases where the numbers are different color than the letters (goes for baseball too), the darker should always be the script. I love the colors (that they should have never strayed from in the first place), but I don't really think the colors match the design too well...It'll probably grow on me. Creative Services Manager Jose Lopez". just who did mr. lopez sleep with to get this gig? the lettering is too spindly to be a focal point. the degree that its slanting is minor enough to be really distracting as if it was applied crooked. think early 80s lakers. i think the number should be white with a yellow shadow if any shadow at all. if you want to bring back the old colors, modernize the old unis. the old unis never had this much yellow to begin with and the only case that can be made that this is a modernization is the poorly sheared wordmark. I always thought China was the big red and yellow team.I like these alternates, but I'm afraid that they will go by the wayside after someone on SportsCenter tries to be clever and keeps calling them the Ronald McDonalds instead of the Rockets. Come to think of it, these jerseys would look ten times better without the yellow panels on the tops. The yellow on the shorts could stay and therefore create a 80s/90s Spurs-Lakers-Kings look. The yellow trim on the neckline is all that is really needed on the tops, though. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
