FiddySicks
So of the many thoughts that have to be running through Peyton Manning's head right now, one has to stick out to me as being the strongest. "Thank GOD I don't have to play in another freaking Pro Bowl this year." On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Sport
I'm glad everyone wasted so much energy on complaining about Jim Caldwell's decisiion to rest the starters. That was time well spent.
FiddySicks
Does anyone else think that Edgerrin James has a really weird relationship with the Colts? First they give him a Super Bowl ring when he wasn't even on the team, and now he's presenting the AFC Championship trophy to the Colts and is their honorary captain. While I'd love a Super Bowl ring, as a player I wouldn't want it unless I had actually played on the team when they won it.
Saintsfan
I'm glad everyone wasted so much energy on complaining about Jim Caldwell's decisiion to rest the starters. That was time well spent. Its interesting though that if they just won the Superbowl this season, would they be remembered as an historically great team? IN they would have if they had been going for perfection? But then would going for perfection have added more pressure in the post season? Very interesting unanswerable and imponderable questions. 2011/12 WFL Champions
Cujo
While it was a tremendous January run for Coach Ryan and Gang Green, it's was more than apparent that today was Peyton Manning's day. While I throw my support behind the AFC Champion Colts in Super Bowl XLIV, it will not be long before the Jets are playing in The Big Game themselves. The Jets are strong, and young, and will be back!
See Red
I'm glad everyone wasted so much energy on complaining about Jim Caldwell's decisiion to rest the starters. That was time well spent. So you're saying they wouldn't be in the Super Bowl had they gone for 16-0? It's still worth complaining about -- the Colts aren't the AFC Champions because they were well rested, they're the AFC Champions because they're the best team in the League. However, if Reggie Wayne or Garcon had slipped on a patch of snow in Buffalo in Week 17 and blew out his knee, it would have been unnecessarily harder for them to do it. Going for 16-0 is fraught with avoidable risk, and I will not call out anyone for seeking to minimize said risk. The Patriots proved that. All that people remember about that season was that New England lost to the Giants. What did going 16-0 do for them? Unless someone can guarantee a team that they will go 19-0, there's no reason to risk players on the chance that you might go undefeated. There's also no guarantee that the Colts would have gone 16-0 if they had played their starters. In other words, we're arguing over a bunch of speculation. Winning a Super Bowl is the main goal of any season. Jim Caldwell did what he thought would give his team the best chance of doing that. The Colts got there. The rest is just theater. rams80
Shouldn't Conference finalists be able to...um...field punts? Spammy
That punt should have been Kick-Catch Interference right? He never had full control. doesn't he have to have another chance to get it back, before they hit him?
TopCat
But-ter-fin-gers! Oh well, you got to learn to live with it I guess. Need to score there though. Couldn't have asked for much more at the half. facebook | @thebugcollector
NEW.ERA
And let the inconsistency of Reggie Bush begin and the Vikings offensive line needs to wake the F&&k up they do that and get the run going again the Vikes should be fine. Oh and get more pressure on Brees they seem to be getting closer and closer each Saint drive. Viper
I must say, Vikings-Saints has been one helluva game so far. Certainly better than the so-called "classic" between the Packers and Cards two weeks ago. At least in this game, both defenses actually came to play.
