Sport
I'm not going to make a prediction because I'm always wrong (ie Penguins in 4 over Montreal), but I just think it's cool that the most recent finals appearance from any of these teams is 97 and the most recent Stanley Cup winner is 93. I don't hate any of the teams left in the playoffs, which is good because I don't have to angst over rooting against anyone unlike the last 15 years of playoff hockey. And no matter what happens we will see a good ending to a wild playoffs. We are guaranteed to witness one of these scenarios: one team that hasn't won in forever takes it, or the perennial playoff choker sheds that label and wins for the first time, or the team who has won 67 times before wins again which results in ridiculous riots and we all get good laughs and funny pictures. capn89
Seriously, Boston. 3-0 series lead, 3-0 lead in game 7. I still can't believe Philly did it.
Maz
This is crazy, to say the least. Makes me feel better about the pens losing, though. Nobody in the east can win this year. An eight and seven seed that both defied all odds multipile times about to play for the chance against a one or two seed who both routinely dispatched of their enemies as expected? Talk about polar opposates.Having philly anywhere near the cup disgusts me, and I love a good underdog, so go habs, but in the end, Hawks all the way. The_Admiral
Not that it matters, but I think I remember reading that the NBC affiliate in Plattsburgh is branded as if it's Montreal's NBC affiliate. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

PurpleRush
Really...a Power play goal off of a goddamn too many men on the ice penalty?!It's deja vu all over again.See the Montreal Forum, May 10, 1979.
RedRenesis
More irony...Flyers were eliminated from last year's playoffs, losing the clinching game 4-3 at home after leading the game 3-0Crosby empty netted a 5th. So it was 5-3.Also: Teams that win the Winter Classic have now gone on to lose the Stanley Cup Final or blow a 3-0 series lead, which I do find pretty funny. Magnus
Well, I'm a Flyers fan, so I'm hoping they move on to the Final.I predict that San Jose getting to the Final will result in lower TV numbers than Chicago.I'm hoping for a Philly-Chicago final.
