Lost in the Jets magic and Favre Crapiness was the Bills crazy comeback in Cincy! Down 28-7, they shut the bengals out 35-0 in the second half to win 49-31. We've finally realized that Lee Evans is nothing more than a No. 2 wideout, and have ourselves a legit No. 1 now in Stevie "The Joker" Johnson, 8-137-3. (watch the vid to catch the new nickname)

Ps. That is one hella bad team in Cincy...

What a d-bag. His team is down by 11 when he scores and he does that.

Hell of a comeback or hell of a meltdown by Cinci?

Marvin Lewis has his stuff in boxes already I imagine.

It would not surprise me in the least if he isn't fired. The Bengals front office is stupid.

Either way, it's going to stay bumpy for awhile in Cincinnati.

Was the Vikings' front office listening to the crowd today? *FIRE CHILDRESS*

It wouldn't surprise me if they ignored the fans, though. Chilly isn't going to get fired, no way, no how. The only change next year will be Favre getting nixed.

The big news this week is the dawn of the Rusty Smith Era!!!!!

Vince Young apparently went storming off the field and Jeff Fischer has announced he is no longer the starter for the rest of the year. It looks like Young's time in Tennessee is over.

Vince Young has torn his thumb tendons, that is why he wont start again this year, and he could be upset about the injury.

Upset enough to chuck his jersey and pads into the stand?

Well Jeff Fischer wont let it bother him.

On a related note The NFC West is comically bad.

Each one of these teams would finish in last place in a good division.

Great win by the Packers today. But, what I really laughed at besides the score was the serious "FIRE CHILDRESS" chant from the dome. Buck and Aikman were even astounded at it. argue.gif <----Vikings fans to Chilly------>huh.gif

Colts get down to the 25 with under 40 seconds left looking to complete a 4th quarter comeback from down 31-14, and almost had it.

Peyton got pressured from the right side and instead of hitting the short out route to the right, he throws it just to the left and high. Right to the Patriot defender.

ARGH!

Now the Colts and Jags are tied in the AFC South. Eff.

If the Colts were healthy/played more physical D they'd be beastly. They're crippled badly on both sides of the field, what you're seeing is the team living and dying solely on Peyton Manning. And it's actually pretty impressive.

Just can't win in the NFL when you don't create turnovers and keep losing your WR's.

NOTICE:

Browns - tackling helps.

Bengals - there's 2 halves of football in a game, not 1.

Raiders - you've gone from Sweethearts to Jerkoffs in a matter of 1 game. Classy.

Vikings - haha. Sad...wait, not sad. Just right.

Titans - Vince Young needs a new tampon.

Yeah that's the only consoling thought, I guess. Problem is Clark and Gonzales aren't coming back, and Collie obviously needs more time.

While it's amazing to see Peyton makings something out of Blair White, Jacob Tamme, and Javaris James, teams are still going to double cover Wayne and Garcon, because the other guys are still dropping the important pass. Passes that I know at least Clark would catch. And Javaris James and Donald Brown are serviceable, but they still aren't Joseph Addai running and catching the ball.

And even when Garcon is playing well, he's still a #3 receiver. He can't play that #2 role sometimes.

And the defense isn't even playing half bad either. They're doing just enough to allow Peyton and the offense to have a shot. All three games they've lost have been close. And the last two losses have been with Peyton and the offense having the ball in the final minute.

The potential is there, but it's tough to watch.

This statistic I can't believe. The Buffalo Bills have not lost a game to the Bengals since before I was born (1990). The Bills have won 10 straight versus them. The last time the Bengals beat the Bills was January 8th, 1989; the AFC Championship game.

I'm rooting for the Jaguars to win the AFC South just so Peyton can pull out the old Manning Face when he gets the news.

Too bad for the Jags, the Colts already played them in Jacksonville. That's the only time the Colts lose to the Jags is down there. I don't understand why, but that's it. When they play at Lucas Oil next time, I fully expect a Colts win.

Oh and bad luck next week. I look forward to Phillis Creek's visit to Indy. :D

Now the Colts and Jags are tied in the AFC South. Eff.

With a date set up in Indy for a rematch between the two in several weeks. Debating whether or not I should mozy my way up into the Oil Drum Brick House to watch that one in person--Jags garb and all. (So far the Jaguars are 1-0 when I attend their road games. )

Speaking of...those lucky bastards got another late win. It's become pretty obvious that some people really must want Jack Del Rio to stick around, because this team is really playing harder than I'm used to seeing--although with the same type of mental issues mixed in. Regardless, this is the kind of sustained effort and focus I haven't seen since the late '90s. Now having said that, this IS the Jaguars here, the league's most woefully inconsistent team. BUT, they did manage to get over their turnover issues (that which has long been an issue for them for whatever reason), and Maurice "Pinball" Jones-Drew did what he does and sewed that thing up for the Jags late. (Off-hand stat: Cleveland's 0-for-Florida this season.)

And since we're discussing Florida pigskin...my Buccaneers just keep on winning. Now granted, this was the 49ers, who either decided before the game to lay down or are purposely tanking to get Singletary fired...but historically, the Buccaneers have had issues traveling out west. But so far they're 2-0 on the road out there. And not only that, they shut the Niners out. Josh Freeman continues to show his mettle out there, and I continue to like LeGarrette Blount's play (who by the way, it should be noted, was thisclose to joining the Niners after the draft). And, again...this is all being done by mostly freshmen and sophomores on offense. And now they sit at 7-3 with a trip to Baltimore on the horizon. This will be a good test for these young Bucs. To be fair, I thoroughly expect them to get ran roughshod on out there in Baltimore, but I'll still be pulling for them regardless.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁
