Rumors going around of a trade that would see the Eagles send Asante Samuel to the 49ers for Patrick Willis.

Damn. Regardless of if this happens or not, Philly means business this offseason!

Yeah - a rumor that was started by some yahoo caller on a sports talk show, and then tweeted by someone, then mentioned in a blog, etc. It's amazing how BS like this can spread in the internet age.

I'll jerk off all over a picture of a shirtless Andy Reid if this trade happens. Maybe twice.

And by Andy Reid, I mean Vida Guerra. And by shirtless, I mean bottomless.

Winston Justice is officially on notice:

Eagles sign OT Ryan Harris.

On an entirely different note...that, along with Lincoln Kennedy, has to be among the coolest names I've ever seen in the NFL. One sounds like he should be sitting up on the Supreme Court somewhere...the other is the name of two former U.S. presidents.

/now returning to your regularly-scheduled topic.

Well he blocks about as well as Ruth Bater Ginsburg, so there's a little bit of a connection to the court there.

Aubrayo Franklin to the Saints, GREAT pick up for them

Agreed. Saints are quietly doing a fantastic job of signing their own free agents (they had 29) and picking up quality guys who will compete for playing time. Can't wait for the opener!

On another note, the Saints also may be the runaway winners of the Most Unnecessary Helmet ID Sticker award.

No, no... "meal ticket" would have been Most Unnecessary Helmet ID Sticker. Brees just helps him locate the QB helmet.

Looks like the Rams just picked up a new Caddy to roll on this season. Too bad it has two broken axles.

It's all part of the plan. Just like how Spagnuolo taking a tire iron to S-Jax's legs is part of the plan.

It's like Georgia Frontiere is still running the team, but in reverse!

With rumors of Derrick Mason swirling in New York, Jerricho Cotchery says he's ready to part ways with the Jets.

How is 37-year-old Derrick Mason an upgrade from Jerricho Cotchery?

Wondering the same thing myself. Maybe this move saves the Jets a massive amount of cap room?... If not, then I don't get it.

I did read a few days back that the Jets were willing to move Cotchery to clear up some cap space, so that's more than likely the case.

Cotchery is officially gone -- No word on Derrick Mason's status though.

A possible destination for Cotch is San Diego, where he would reunite with NC State teammate Philip Rivers.

It doesn't make sense, it only saves $1.8 million. Jets are currently about $9 million under the cap.

Hmm. Perhaps they're making room for another impact player .....Osi Umenyiora?
