2011 NBA Playoffs

I've been saying all playoffs long that the Heat need to shoot the ball to win. They shot what 40% last night, and won by 8.

If I was more stubborn, I would say that its still true because Dallas is a team that can be said about as well, and like Miami didn't shoot the ball well either, so in the end it evened out. There is some truth to that, but I know that's not the reason.

Miami didn't shot well towards the end of the Bulls series, maybe the ultimate doesen't need to shot well in order to win team, and was pulling out close games. This team isn't the same team as what we saw in the regular season. They aren't a one dimensional team without a point guard. This is a tremendous defensive and offensive team that can beat you in mulitple ways. If that can be said about you, I think you have a very good chance of winning the NBA title, and I think Miami has to be considered the heavy favorite at this point to win the series. Dallas is a very good hungry basketball team, but the talent level that Miami has is just on another level. We'll see what happens, but I don't like Dallas' chances.

Question, because I'm unsure of the NBA rule here: Near the end of the 1st, LeBron was on the floor with possession of the ball. There was no whistle when he stood up while maintaining possession.

Where it anyone else, I would assume that the rule is different from college and that isn't a travel violation in the NBA. However, since the rule seems to be selectively applied to LeBron (read: most NBA superstars) in the first place, I can't be sure.

It is allowed in the NBA and not a "superstar rule" for those wondering.

However it is not at the college level or in the European game, and from my understading has only been recently changed, so very easy to understand why people would be confused. I only saw the play on replay and didn't see it live, so if the announcers didn't explain that's on them and they need to do a better job explaining the rules so people don't start making accusations like what's written above, which is exactly what I would think as well, if I hadn't known the NBA updated their traveling rules prior to the 09-10 season.

I would still regard that as a travel, but there's alot of things that I regard as traveling that the NBA allows, and its a losing battle to make a big deal over. You either accpet it or you don't watch the NBA. Those are your only two choices.

Oh my goodness, this is ridiculous. How do the Mavericks do it?

Yep, I do think this is going to be one helluva series. Miami just fell asleep there and Dallas Dirk made them look silly for doing so. So much for playing till the fat lady sings, Miami.

Chris Bosh should lose his title as part of the big three as well, because he was downright dreadful at the end there.

In a game which they controlled until the last 5 minutes, MIA had 16 OFF REB in game one to only 6 tonight. And tonight the DAL bench outscored MIA 23-11.

NOTE: Joel Anthony played 27 minutes and did not take a shot, only had one REB and three blocks.

That has got to be one of the wildest comebacks I've ever seen in basketball, let alone the NBA Finals

And yet, the Mavericks have been doing precisely that this entire postseason. Them cats--okay, Dirk--got some kind of special magic going on. And you just know the atmosphere in Dallas is going to be ELECTRIC come game three whatever night that gets played on.

DIRK NOWITZKI.

Strongest finish by a single player in Finals history? Nice to see the Mavs knot the series up, but I've still got Heat taking this in five. Dallas needed to "catch a hail mary" to get this one. Heat will bounce back and take the next 3 in Big D. (Hope I'm wrong)
