What the hell did Sparty just do? 22-21 MSU now.

Dantonio promised the team it could raid another engineering dorm if they won.

Not that I'm arguing for an Alabama-LSU rematch, but....

Why is it perfectly acceptable for rematches to occur in conference title games, but not for the National Championship? How come there's no uproar about there being a Virginia Tech-Clemson rematch for the ACC Championship or a Wisconsin-Michigan State rematch for the Big Ten Championship...but a big uproar for a possible LSU-Alabama rematch? Aren't their first meetings pretty much meaningless now, too?

To me, it makes no sense to argue against seeing rematches when we're already seeing them decide conference championships.

Sparty and Wisconsin play in different divisions.

VTech and Clemson play in different divisions.

Those are not the same thing. In all four cases, those teams won their division's outright.

You know what's pretty bad, and this is coming from a Tide supporter. Not a single analyst from ABC, CBS, or FOX is even giving OK State a chance at the National Title. They automatically assume it will be Alabama. So for you guys hating on SEC fans. I have yet to see an Alabama fan say anything about the National Title game with Alabama being in it. I have said I hope they are there, but we'll have to wait and see what happens in Stillwater and tomorrow evening.

Wisconsin gave up a fake FG to Minn a few weeks ago from the same spot. I am sure he saw something on film that told him Wisconsin was susceptible to that. Wisconsin probably has the worst special teams in the country.

Oklahoma was ranked #1 in preseason. Mind blown.

Oklahoma gets a top 3 preseason ranking annually because they are Oklahoma

^Reason #278,397 why preseason polls suck and should not exist.

As for the announcers, they're basing it on the assumption that most pollsters will simply "slot" their rankings and only Va Tech is ahead of Oklahoma State and in danger of losing. Granted this ignores the fact that at least in the coaches poll different people will be doing the voting this week. If Oklahoma State continues to choke slam Oklahoma, I could see them rallying enough support among the "no rematch" and "resume" voters to tip the scale.

Ok, now that LSU did what they had to, It's really up to OSU to do what they need to do. That said, I'd almost be willing to put money on it that Okie State gets rolled tonight, and rolled HARD. I'm taking Oklahoma by at least three touchdowns.

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle...

I'll admit, I had a feeling they would find a way to choke tonight. They deserve props for taking care of business in a big way.

I saw enough concern regarding Landry Jones in Soonerland after the Baylor game to think this year might be different. It appears things are different.

What case does Alabama have to make it in as #2? Oklahoma St. has more wins against Top 25 and Top 50 BCS teams. The only thing I can think of is that 'Bama lost to LSU in overtime, but Okie State's only loss came in overtime as well. Oh yeah, and they're in the SEC.
