VCU is ditching their cursed gold alternate jerseys and replacing them with grey alts.

I (unsuccessfully) pitched the idea of grey hoops unis to my school's athletic dept which uses the same colors... should look nice!

Look for them to get the Hyperelite treatment in 2012-13.

They look like SOD, not HE.

Those are SOD, we've (VSU) had those the last 2 years. Its the old 'Cuse template.

Those uniforms in the pics are new for this year. I'm just saying if those are new for this season, getting HyperElites this season seems a bit unlikely.

He wasn't talking about VCU.

Has VCU always used Machine font on their jerseys or are they trying to mimic the font that UA has started using for South Carolina?

Here are their unis from last year. I doubt very seriously Nike is trying to mimic somthing UA did.

While it may be a program font for UA, it is just a standard font Nike has used for not big-time programs.

Those shorts look translucent, too. I can see the tail of the jersey through the shorts, and vice versa. Not just a faint outline, either; I can see the difference in color where the jersey and shorts overlap.

Is this a new thing, or have I not been paying attention?

Yep, that's what we got this season.

Hyperelite kicks in next season.

I feel like you're just making stuff up. First you say they were getting Hyperelite this season, then when proved wrong you magically remember it's not til next season? Really don't care about VCU I just find it hard to believe that they are considered by Nike a big time program after tournament run, and would get new uniforms two years in a row

You got me. I completely flip flopped on...

The Vandy women are upgrading to Marquette's numbers and hole-y shorts.

Is the lighting in these pics playing tricks on me, or are those shorts really translucent?

I'm getting the same look. They really are almost see through

I think that's part of the lightness of them. The holes in the legs are what I assume he's talking about though. An odd treatment but depending on how hard you're going it'd be a nice feature.

New Baylor unis here. I'm actually digging the dot matrix bear on the shorts.

I wonder where Adidas came up with the idea for the dot matrix shorts? If they can't come up with an original uniform design they need to get out of the business.

Adidas was doing the dots before Nike. Tennessee's women had them in 2007.
