If schools would finally allow players to cash in on their talents, the Buckeyes would be everyone's #1.

Now why aren't "student athletes" allowed to get a chunk again? Ahh, that's right.. There is no reason! -- The system flat out SUCKS.

So getting a full ride to college isn't enough?

Who decided that receiving fiar compensation for being a star player is wrong? Just imagine going to work and your employer decided to compensate you with college classses instead of money. Would THAT be fair?

With the billions of dollars the NCAA now rakes in becase of these athletes, why can't they get paid?

Many universities already have huge advantages over others because of historical backgrounds, athletic facilities, world-class trainers, and top-tier educational programs as well.

Add in the ability to pay some of these guys, and the gulf between the Ohio St.'s, Alabama's, USC's of the world and the Boise St.'s would just grow.

Like I said pay them whatever the tuition at their school would be. If he plays for OSU, give him a check for $20k (average tuition for Ohio resident) and take away all of his scholarships. See how happy they are after that.

College football is already that way WITHOUT their athletes getting paid. Top schools & conferences will always get the top players. What is unfair is that the players are the reason some of these schools are even on the map and don't see a dime iin return. What exactly keeping the NCAA from giving $10-20K to each player per season? The schools could easily afford this. I really have no clue how the NCAA gets away with this modern-day version of indentured servitude. What they've been able to get away with is wrong in so many ways.

Last season, no one thought Ohio State was going to be very good this season. That's why they decided to remain eligible for a bowl game last year. I'm sure if anyone had even an inkling that this team would go 12-0, it would have been a different decision. No one saw this coming.

They really don't, but I like the sentiment. B)
