dfwabel
Who would move their family from Connecticut all the way to friggin California just because their 15-year old son was pretty good at football? .....Anyone?Someone who wants their kid to get a full-ride scholarship to a prestigious university...?Of course, I get that's why they did that. But it still seems incredibly extreme, borderline insane.Families pack up for a alledgedly talented child all the time be it to California for acting, to Florida for golf/tennis, or to a non-snow state for other sports like gymnastics.A parent will move a kid when they are not wealthy enough to start their own HS academy after having a fallout with a private school, like David Sills IV.And Minnesota's Jerry Kill had ANOTHER seizure in game today. Cujo
A Notre Dame score probably puts this game out of reach. They may not win pretty, but looks like the Irish are NCG bound.

CS85
Not so fast. ND's about to give it right back.I'd love to see the Irish win a national championship, but George/Bama's going to just rip right through them. Irish win too many ugly games to substandard teams (substandard to a top-5 team, anyway). Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. rainmaker17
ND is really the best team in the country? I see rampant favoritism. The exclusive NBC TV contract, sketchy wins and the weird religious thing as the reason the Irish are #1 I can't argue with the record, but I've had it with the cuddly "who couldn't love Notre Dame" nonsense. I know the networks love it. I don't.

CS85
Wow, I eat my words. The Irish D just shut down the Trojan offense, 5 plays from inside the 2 yard line, no score. Lane Kiffin is also a numbnuts.Regarding the ND hate, I think it's far better that they're in the title game simply because it 1. Shows why a playoff system is necessary2. It'd be glorious if they beat Alabama, since a million heads would explode in Tuscaloosa. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. Cujo
"A goal line stand for the ages". JC...really?A total meltdown in late-game playcalling. Any team could've stopped a Kiffin-led team in that situation. Pretty much the most overrated head coach in all of football. You know you suck when Al Davis thinks you're bad! crashcarson15
I'm at a loss for words. If you would've told me sitting in South Bend five years ago watching a 1-8 ND team lose to Air Force that I'd be seeing this today, I'd have told you that you were insane./Everyone who's saying it'll be a blowout in the NCG... did you predict the same thing for the Oklahoma game, too? Or...? ND doesn't win sexy guys, if you haven't noticed.
rams80
You don't even have to be very good to finish better than last year's OSU team. Game theory relative to Ohio State alone dictates self-impose now rather than play and lose in a 3rd rate Florida Bowl Game.Well, that's not how it played out. So now what?Call your athletic director a dumbass for not self-imposing the second Indiana didn't roll over and die against the Buckeyes and Purdue beat them. You're going to need to blindfold touchdown Jesus and put Lou Holthz in a sensory deprivation chamber for all of January because the beatdown is going to be so brutal. FiddySicks
Well, so Notre Dame did it. Good for them. I didn't think there was any way they would get to the National Championship game, but they did it. It's going to be fun to see them get smashed by whichever SEC team they play (no hate there, but I gotta be realistic).
