Playing around with the playoff machine, came up with this.

AFC

1. Houston

2. Baltimore

3. New England

4. Denver

5. Cincinnati

6. Indianapolis

Pittsburgh just missing out.

NFC

1. Atlanta

2. San Francisco

3. Green Bay

4. NY Giants

5. Chicago

6. Minnesota

New Orleans, Dallas, Washington, Seattle, Tampa Bay all miss by one.

What exactly did you do to get Minnesota in as #6? They may not win another game this year. :P

Lose to Green Bay, beat Chicago, beat St Louis, lose to Houston, beat Green Bay. I think I have Seattle and Tampa tanking, plus they somehow hold the tiebreak over New Orleans :P

They'll finish 9-7 after all that.

If Sherman and Browner get suspended the Hawks are done. Without those two, they'll be lucky to finish 8-8. My problem is, and I'm not trying to defend them cause they were the idiots who took a banned substance but why is adderal banned? Except for studying a play book I don't know how else it would help you as an NFL player.

This is the mess built by Rex and company he has created an atmosphere that is so bad around the Jets.

When I went to the game last month I was harassed something terrible, of course I worre Dolphins colors and I made the Jets fans look like :censored:s by not responding and with the Dolphins kicking the :censored: out of the Jets it was even better, but I had my Dolphins hat ruined with these Kobra Kai Jets fans dressed up in the skeletons and they rubbed pain on to my hat, but I refused to get into their :censored: and laughed at the score. However elsehwere there were fights and their fans for the most part were very ugly and many left the game early.

I've attended Packer games all over the country (it wasn't until my 14th or 15th game that I actually went to Lambeau), and I've never even heard of the abuse that Jet fans leveled at Packer Backers a couple years ago. The difference between them and Giant fans, in the same stadium, is startling.

That being said, Fireman Ed was a jackass, a self-important, self-promoting creep who won't be missed except by the television cameras he played to.

So what did Fireman Ed do wrong?

So what did Fireman Ed do wrong?

He did nothing wrong. As a sason-ticket holder, he basically the glorified leader of the Jets' riot squad. As time went on, the guy sort of became popular around the league. I don't see why everyone seems to think of Ed as some self-absorbed douchebag. Never got that vibe during my time as a fan.

Hoeever, I will say Fireman Ed made himself a MASSIVE target at home games this year by wearing a Mark Sanchez jersey. Not sure what he saw in Sanchez going into the year that would force him to ditch his customary Bruce Harper #42 for the putrid #6. I can't think of a more unpopular Jet ever. Bad call, Ed.

Brandon Marshall says players use Viagra to get an edge on the game: http://www.usatoday....ra-use/1732105/

Well, I guess I definitely wouldn't wanna jam somebody off the line if they have a raging hard on.

Saints Egged

ATLANTA -- New Orleans Saints players say their bus was pelted with eggs by airport workers after they touched down in Atlanta.

Tight end Jimmy Graham, linebacker Will Herring and quarterback Chase Daniel tweeted about the incident Wednesday night at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The Saints (5-6) face the first-place Falcons (10-1) on Thursday night at the Georgia Dome. New Orleans has won four straight and 11 of 13 in the series, including a 31-27 home win over Atlanta on Nov. 11. It remains the only loss for the Falcons (10-1), who otherwise have dominated the NFC South race.

Graham wrote on Twitter: "Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy!"

Daniel tweeted, "Wow ... we start getting eggs thrown (at) us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!"

Herring seemed amused by the incident.

"First time my bus has been egged by opposing fans!" he tweeted. The game "should be fun!!"

The Falcons, four games ahead of second-place Tampa Bay, can clinch the division if they beat the Saints on Thursday night and Denver beats the Buccaneers on Sunday.

The Falcons couldn't score after having a second down at the Saints' 1-yard line late in the teams' last meeting. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said it was a missed opportunity the team can't repeat in its second chance against the Saints.

"The last time we played them, we fell short a little bit in the red zone," Ryan said. "Playing against New Orleans, it's imperative when you have opportunities in that part of the field, you have to take advantage of them and score touchdowns. I think that's something I can do better and we can do better as a team."

The missed opportunity prompted Falcons receiver Roddy White to say after the game, "It's not like they came out here and won a game. I think we kind of gave it to them."

Saints defensive end Will Smith didn't take kindly to those words, saying this week that White "has a problem with just saying things without thinking before he says things."

White didn't talk with reporters this week.

The fans in Atlanta must HATE the Saints. I mean, how can you explain the team bus getting egged?

Simple. It's a rivalry.
