Radiohead
I haven't seen much on the "new" ABA here at sportslogos. In fact, I never heard of the league until I came across a George Gervin "retro" ABA All-Star jersey at a thrift store. There are plenty of teams in the league, but most of their logos are pretty bad. The league site is ....http://abalive.com/ Logos can be seen by clicking on the conferences tab.League logoSome of the better logos...And the horrible.....And plenty of expansion clubs on the horizon, including Ball World Peace...Perhaps they'll incorporate Meta World Peace into their logo in the future. Here is that Gervin jersey I came across. I'm not sure if they have rights to using old ABA team logos, but they apparently are able to market former ABA stars ....
Gothamite
Some of the better logos...The fact that those are the "better" logos tells you a lot about why this league is largely ignored here. If they're not going to try, why should we bother? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

ShlyKBMT
We had a team here in Beaumont, TX that moved down the road to Winnie, TX before calling it quits.First they were the MustangsThen became the Mavericks. Won back to back titles then tried to get into the D-League.....didn't happen.

mfoster
I haven't looked at any ABA stuff (teams, logos, operations) in a few years, and after browsing a few minutes I'm reminded why.Websites that don't work. Websites that look like they are from 1995. Websites with no info... ummm, it's nice that you have ticket prices posted, but where do you play? It's one virtual how-not-too after another. Warrior's is not Warriors. Not sure if that would hold up in court.Well, "CFL Colts" is not "Colts"; but the NFL got an injunction on that. Of course, it's anyone's guess as to whether it could have prevailed in a suit.I realise that this farcical ABA is in no way a threat to the NBA. But, doesn't the inaction by the NBA clubs on this question undercut their future ability to prevent other basketball clubs from using these nicknames in the future?
