We know they are getting a new white jersey and I suspect they no longer want to have three different templates. So I would guess they are going either with something like this or with a white version of the red primary. The wordmark is pretty popular right now and we've seen the Wild more and more willing to marginalize the great primary logo.I guess I hope they are going to make the white jersey look like the red one, so at least the logo will be used. But what they should be doing is making the others look more like the white one. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." As noted, there seems to be a strong connection between northern Iowa and Minnesota as far as sports go. Using the same name strengthens and reinforces the brand in that area, I guess. I remember hearing Lou Lamoriello talk about how the Devils farm teams were all going to be renamed the 'Devils', and would be using a similar logo. He talked about how kids coming up through the system wouldn't be "Titans" or "River Rats", but they would be "Devils" from day one. I understand and like that mentality, and it suits certain teams better than others, the Devils being one of them. If anyone is going to try to emulate the New Jersey formula, I can see Minnesota pulling it off. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd use them as a template for success just as I'd use Calgary.
