alxy8s
People seem excited about Silver, but I have no idea why. All we see him do is run the Draft Lottery. Is he just expected to be better just on the basis of not being Stern?

I kinda wish that Stern's departure would lead to someone bran new. Lee Noire
The roller coaster ride continues. According to reports Doc Rivers is no longer interested in the Clippers job and has gone home to Orlando. The reports say Boston had grown tired of the Clippers "starvation" tactics in hopes of driving down Boston's asking price for Doc. Clippers felt they had all the leverage was clearly flexing its muscles. Now I know there are other options, cheaper options but if you are LAC how do you not just get that deal done? It's like they forgot they are the Clippers, NBA laughing stock, after one good year. If they want to act like a ball club with a winning culture they needed Rivers, a coach that will no doubt bring that culture.
Lights Out
I don't even know what to believe about this trade anymore. All the Boston sources are saying the deal's off and that Doc's not interested, but the LA media is claiming it's still on, Boston's still interested, and the compensation could end up being the Clippers' 2015 first-rounder. At this point, I'm sick of the bluffing and haggling from all sides. It's ridiculous that this simple deal can't be done already. vmd9
The Clippers already had a coach who lost in the first round. Why would they want a different one?Exactly. Some people need to stop acting like Doc will magically turn this team into a championship contender. Aside from Griffin and Paul, they have nothing. Some aging veterans on the downside of their careers and very overrated role players like Jordan and Bledsoe.
DG_ThenNowForever
Prior to the Garnett/Allen/Pierce run, the knock on Doc Rivers was that he couldn't manage a game and he lucked into wins. He happened to get three great players at or near their primes and ride them to two Finals appearances and a championship. That's pretty good, but it's also not that different than, say, Larry Brown or Rick Carlisle. They both won championships with streaky teams, but had a fat lot of nothing to show for their careers otherwise. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
