I'd rather be a fan of a team whose fanbase has people doing this (though I condemn it)...

...than be lumped together with these kinds of people:

:censored: actually enjoying the game in a peaceful manner!

A good way to show devotion to your team is to destroy public property!

That is why Canucks fans are regarded as the best fans in North America.

I'd rather have drunk, angry fans who show devotion and fierce loyalty to a team (and whose fan allegiance can go back 30-40 years), than have fans who can't name a player on a team past two seasons ago.

I rather be associated with sane people rather than barbarians who go out and destroy things because their favorite group of athletes won a title.

Those fans that you want to be associated with that are destroying those cars are degenerative scumbags who should be treated with disdain by every real passionate sports fan.

Sorry to break this to y'all, but going all Team X Super Fan on the message board doesn't make your dick any bigger.

Seriously though, Griffin is overrated.

I don't see how since every fanbase other than Clipper fans have basically shat on him nonstop since his second year, while the media paints him as a soft one-dimensional dunker who doesn't impact games. To be honest, for a young player averaging 20/10 for his career so far, he's underrated.

I'd rather have drunk, angry fans who show devotion and fierce loyalty to a team (and whose fan allegiance can go back 30-40 years), than have fans who can't name a player on a team past two seasons ago.

Please... just stop posting. You're embarrassing yourself.

Getting back on topic: that Harden trade is looking worse and worse for OKC now that Kevin Martin is headed to Minnesota. WTF were they thinking? That will go down as the NBA version of the Herschel Walker trade, or at least the Ricky Williams trade.

Liking sports is inherently dumb. There's hardly a right way to do it.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

If all fans in every sport were to be knowledgeable, passion and respectful, then the world would be a better place. But we don't have that. There's three groupings: the bandwagon/casual fan, the true and sensible fan (people who everyone wants to be associated to), and the super-fan who cares so much about his team, he resorts to physicality to show his allegiance (in this case, a riot).

If I were to choose between the super-fan, who knows much information about said team to the point of casting harm upon those that don't agree with him, and the bandwagon fan, who gives-off face palming answers to simple questions relating to the team, I'd side with the super-fan.

That being said, it's a "lesser of two evils" approach, and I would never resort to looting nor such other stupid crap, that would hurt the general public, to show my allegiance to a team.

Dude, seriously don't talk about passion you are a fan of the Lakers, Raiders and Dodgers. Lakers are one of the huge ban wagon teams, raiders are constantly blacked out and dodgers fans always show up late. Not to mention the kings only got popular when Gretzky came in and with the recent success. I'M NOT CALLING YOU A FAIR WEATHER FAN but... All of your teams fans have a bad track record. You bashing Clips fans for having whole hearted fun at a game only perpetuates the stereotype.

Still can't believe how quickly Sac(k) City pulled the offer to IGGY, I have to believe that helps the Nuggs chances at re signing!

I'd chose the bandwagon fan because at least they have enough common sense not to cause harm and go crazy over a bunch of rich guys playing a game. Priorities.

I'd pick the group of fans least likely to tip my car over.

Bandwagon fans are annoying but people who vandalize property over sports are scumbags. It is not a choice between two evils but a choice between an annoyance and evil.

Brad Stevens to the Celtics.

I hate this move so much for Brad Stevens. He said "no" to so many major colligate programs to stay at Bulter. Then he just up and bolts for the rebuilding Celtics?? He doesn't strike me as a "pro" guy at all. This has to be a cash grab, pure and simple. I really do want to see him succeed on the next level, but unfortunately, this has "Pitino 2.0" written all over it.

What's really wrong with him just leaving to throw $22M in the bank? Even if he's a bust, he can just go back to college and he'll be a top candidate for almost any opening there is. I thought he was at Butler for life unless the IU job ever opened up, but I can't blame a guy for getting himself a payday.
