So the Raptors traded Bargnani to the Knicks for Marcus Camby, Steve Novak, a first, and two seconds, but the deal wasn't approved by the league...any idea why?

I believe it wasn't submitted before the deadline, so they had to wait until the next day to approve.

Pistons apparently had a meeting with Josh Smith for five hours last night and are prepared to offer a large deal.

God, Dumars is like a five-year old when you give him money. He has to spend it all and fast.

The Clippers didn't have to publicly beg for their star player to stay. Factor in all those banners and it makes the Lakers look even worse.

Advantage: Clips.

I'm not convinced that Doc Rivers is the answer, but so far the Clippers are winning the off season, if only because they're looking like players (and more interesting than the Lakers).

However, we've seen this before with them when they resigned Elton Brand and signed Mike Dunleavy. That was also supposed to be a new commitment to winning. I'd feel better of they traded Griffith for one or two guys interested in playing basketball.
