The_Admiral
Apparently tonight's Wednesday Night Rivalry featured the growing rivalry between the Flyers and the concept of operating at an NHL level. Flyers lost. The craziest part is that the Blues have five games in hand on Chicago and would pass them by two points if they won all five! ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

rmackman
Ah, OK... at least it wasn't right behind an important part of the ice!I was actually there for that game. Everyone just moved to either side of the blocked panel because the arena was only half full anyway. Here's an explanation as to what happened, and how it won't happen ever again: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/flapanthers/2013/12/glasnost-panthers-work-to-make-sure-tuesdays-plexigate-doesnt-happen-again.html "Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports
The_Admiral
Florida's ice crew took down the busted piece and was ready to replace it with another but that piece of glass slipped off its cart and cracked. This is the added wrinkle this story needed. Kramerica Industries
That's the kind of thing that would happen in Sunrise. It's completely appropriate.

The film does get tougher to come off the longer it's stored. I saw, I came, I left.
The_Admiral
Oh, now you're a plexiglass expert? You're going to make dfwabel jealous. I don't get the Feaster firing. I mean, yeah, he sucked, but if he sucked to the extent that you were going to fire him, why did you give him one more draft? It appears to have been a good draft, too. And "Burke didn't like the way the team was playing"? The team has been playing really well! When you consider the extreme paucity of NHL talent on that roster, that they're doing as well as they are says a lot. I had them tabbed for like a 60-point season. They're buying into good coaching. And come on, it's not like Brian Burke is going to be any better. He's been exposed as an idiot in every possible way. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
TorinK92
So, um... Why the hell aren't we talking about Martin Jones?Of course, he does remind me of another goalie I know.Edit: We also appear to have Craig Anderson back, ladies and gentlemen
monkeypower
He's getting some publicity here in Calgary where he played junior (at least with Hitmen fans) which I've said many times. It could be many things; east coast bias, he's a young goalie so streaks are taken with a grain of salt (see the second link you posted), Kings are said to be a good defensive team, etc. etc.
