Buster
Swagger? Is this how desperate the Brownies are to connect with the younger generation?More like appealing to Josh Gordon's gangmates,Way to embrace your culture, Cleveland. Sickening. You're a professional sports franchise, not a clothing company, stay professional. This is sinking to the level of McDonald's commercials.Calling the mascot's name "Swagger" really isn't unprofessional nor is it "sickening". It's a live mascot. That's all it is. A dog. There are far worse names for a dog out there.Actually this is a pretty tacky name. Something a 12 year old kid would come up with.#1 rule of having swagger is you don't talk about having swagger. That just makes you a punk.Great dog, atrocious name. Poor dog, it's like the babies that get named things like Apple, Neptune, Espn and Sha Nay Nay. Cute baby but unfortunate name. It usually worked out for them. There are no rules for having swagger. Quit making them up.I'm a Canes fan since the 80s but their attitude actually made a lot of people hate them. Cleveland doesn't need more people hating them.
tyst13
That's a cute dog. Bullmastiffs are very sweet and friendly animals. Good with families. The Browns should come up with an actual logo other than a helmet, but they shouldn't feature that logo anywhere on the uniforms.Swagger is dumb, but it's no worse than Crush or Dash or any other silly mascot name. Just don't call him Swag. Also, don't say "YOLO."That's all I've got.. I pretty much agree with this exactly, the part about the logo at least. The Browns should get a logo. Using the helmet as a logo is so stupid. It looks stupid on graphics and doesn't work as their midfield logo. But, it should stay off the helmet. They shouldn't really touch the helmet at all. Just stop using it as a logo.
Red Wine Pirate
I just turned the TV to the NFL Network and holy hell the Browns look like :censored:. Without a doubt the most boring uniform in the NFL. Their all-white monochrome with an orange helmet is hideous when combined with white socks. Can't wait for this team to get a new look. TheSoundofThrowingPennies
Browns warm-up gear is orange and silver. Sign of things to come? IIRC, Denver had navy blue sideline apparel the year before they switched to the navy uniforms.

walkerws
That"may" be the clear/same Color applications that they did on NCAA gear last year. Silver might be ok as long as they don't make it a huge up front part of the design like the amount of pewter in Tampa Bay's new jerseys.

FiddySicks
Personally, I wouldn't mind of the Browns used a dog as their mascot, even with the disconnect from the name. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single American professional sports team that uses a dog as a mascot, and that's really strange considering how popular dogs are and how many teams use animal mascots. They would not only have an extremely unique color as their main selling point, they would also have an extremely popular animal as a mascot that is surprisingly unique in pro sports. It's be an interesting direction to go, but I can't say that having something like a chocolate lab as a mascot would really be a bad idea. I mean, really. What red blooded American doesn't love dogs?If you ask me, that's a WAY more bad ass mascot to have than, like, a swordfish, sheep, or a Buffalo. walkerws
I think the dog they identified as their mascot is going to be the base of that identity.
joshey
I think the dog they identified as their mascot is going to be the base of that identity.I hope so. I've always liked the bulldog logo they have but seldom use for some reason. Wasn't the end zones called the dawg pound or something corney like that a few years back? I feel like they've distanced themselves from that identity so it'd be hard for me to see them bring it back as apart of their rebranding/refreshing or whatever we're going to call it GO NETS. Kind of like building the identity around a dog, since explaining that and the Dawg Pound would be a lot easier than the elf.

I think the dog or I think Dawg is more appropiate for their fan base and an updated version of the classic elf logo shold be used as their team's primary. ESTONES6
I don't think there is any question that some sort of gray/silver is going to be added to the color scheme. Nike has been pushing the "anthracite" colors for a few years now. The gray has already looked good with numerous other teams with orange and a dark brown/black color (Oklahoma State, Oregon State).I just hope the uniforms match. I don't want to see orange helmet with white shirt and brown pants... and then an orange helmet with brown shirt and orange pants. I like when uniforms have consistency and unity. I doubt we will see that, though. As for the discussion of the orange helmet with white shirt, white pants, and white socks... I agree, it looks bad. But I think that is mostly due to a boring shade of orange. If they team moved to a brighter, more candy, popping orange, I think the uniforms would look a lot better... not great... but better.
