New Browns uni coming 2015

I have a bad feeling these new uniforms will look better than their current ones.

Its going to be hard for them to look worse.

Their all whites are the most drab uniform in the NFL. Completely dated. The brown jersey/white pants combo is good, because they can ditch the hideous striped socks (which ruin any chance the all white uniform would have, at looking decent).

What Grossi is reporting is what I have heard...brown, white and grey jerseys with white and probably orange pants. Although I would not at all be surprised if the white pants were eliminated altogether and grey pants replace them. I guess we'll see.

And that helmet they show would look really good too. I'd expect a matte orange helmet.

What makes you think they would go with orange pants when they have been using brown pants the last two seasons?

How this could go wrong:

  • Horrifying numerals that have some sort of futuristic nonsense
  • A desaturated shade of orange
  • Leviathan-like suit-coat collar
  • Design elements for the sake of design elements (argyle patterned numerals, or half-matte helmet, random gunmetal grey piping, etc.)

If Cleveland wants to win, I think they use Texas A&M as a template. There's a lot of modern features that, in my opinion, came together as well as it could've (in the context of Nike's typical goofiness).

edit: Not including this particular uniform, mind you.

How is it irrelevant when you clearly said this:

In the context of that, then yeah it makes sense. What I was trying to emphasize in either case is that Nike's silly-ass goofy uniform crap leads the way for other designers, and since they are the trend setter, design firms follow suit to a point. With Cleveland I think Nike could use Adidas' transformation of A&M as a good benchmark, that's all.

I have a weird feeling that this may end up looking pretty good.

For as much as Nike hacked up the Yucks and Jaguars, they really hit it out of the park with the Vikings. I think Nike has the sense enough to know that you don't wanna rock the boat TOO much with the classic NFL teams. I mean, they can go nuts with the Florida teams, but, other than the Dolphins, who the hell even cares about them? Most people forget the other two even exist.

Again for the 197th time, Nike is only A PART of the group who decides what a team wears or not. NFL Properties plays a role. Team ownership plays a role. Nike can make suggestions but they only do what they are TOLD to do. Quit blaming Nike for whenever a team makes changes to their uniform. Its not their call. Its a team effort. Doesn't have jack squat to do whether a team has a "classic" uniform or not. If Cleveland wants to wear pink jerseys and polka dot pants, then they will. Not because Nike put a gun to their head to do whatever they want.

Some of you used to blame Reebok for all the crappy designs in the NFL. Now you blame Nike. You were wrong with Reebok and you are wrong with Nike. But I guess you gotta blame somebody when you aren't happy with your NFL teams look or if some team dared to change too much for your liking.
