The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Hopefully more outlets pick up the story.That being said, I'm not sold on the design being shown as being perfect. It's nice and I would prefer it greatly over what they have now, but I'd hope they could really dig into it, with good designers, and come up with a "perfect" look that can last 25 years. Do it right once.I do prefer the Padres script on the classic logo to what they have now. So much more refined, crafted, designed. The "awful" script in the bat is so much better than the mess they have now (trying to make a sail boat into a P shape... come on). Something very similar looked very nice in their early years.
