1990hornet
http://www.businessinsider.com/netflix-new-logo-site-redesign-2014-6What do you think? I think it's a downgrade.
CS85
Ditching the drop shadow thing is fine. Ditching tons of red is not.Their site looks decent I suppose but all that black sucks. AJM
I don't mind the new word mark, but I agree that the site primarily in black is odd. mattb6
I always thought the drop shadow was pretty unique. Now it's basically a standard font slightly arched. Boring. Â

Chromatic
Loved the original. The drop shadow was one of the few times it was acceptable. It was really fitting for a company that dealt in movies. The new one is bland and completely devoid of any originality. Massive downgrade. In fact it reminds me a lot of the generic NFL wordmarks out there.
RayLars9867
I totally agree. It's a downgrade. Makes it more boring. The other has some punch to it.
1clkgtramg
I would have at least like to have seen the same colour scheme carried over. I havent really cared for drop shadow except for the Rangers. Its not that noticable on the old look unless you look for it. I wonder how it would look if the old logo removed the drop shadow. elsephen
I think one thing that was cool about the old red was that it gave a "red curtain" feel.
See Red
The old one really said "movies" to me so I like it more just for that. There's nothing wrong with the new one but not a fan of the change.
Jamikel
The worst thing to me is the doofy KiDS font. Overall, it's a downgrade, but still not bad.

brfrank9
The new logo is certainly a downgrade. As a couple others have already said. the drop shadow in the old logo was one the few cases when the drop shadow was acceptable.
habsfan1
A downgrade? That 90s dropshadow needed to be removed badly.I'm surprised it took them this long to fix that.
hailstateunis
The drop showed worked because of the movie tie-in, but it looks so much better without it that I can't complain. http://www.hailstateunis.com

CAB
I loved the drop-shadow, but if they had to get rid of it, they at least could have kept the all-red look. I think that's what set them apart. Certain websites "own" a certain color (Facebook/blue, Twitter/light blue, etc) and white letters on red instantly says Netflix to me. Oh well, I'm sure in a couple months I'll be accustomed to the new look.
