  1. If your pee is that color then you should probably go see a doctor
  2. If you're thinking it's copied from McElroy19's Seattle Sea Lions concept, it isn't. It has similar shading on the seal's body, but the face details and body shape are completely different. As someone who's traced the face from that same Sea Lions concept in the past, I feel like I'd know haha. If it's another concept you're thinking of, I can't seem to find it anywhere after a quick google search. Pretty sure edjb93's concept is original.
  3. I'm not a huge fan of the typeface or the black outline, and the red and blue segments of the wave ball could be a bit more prominent, but those are all the issues I see with it. I don't dislike it, and it's definitely a major upgrade, but I feel like there are some pretty simple fixes and ideas that could make it a lot better. It's a solid look, but when designing a rebrand for one of the most recognizable products in the world, anything other than spectacular is a bit of a disappointment.
  4. I fully agree. That being said, as a Red Sox fan, the Yankees' logos uniforms are bad, tradition be damned. Each uniform is fine but boring. What bothers me is the complete lack of cohesion between any two sets. Be consistent, at the very least. No need for 3 different variations of the logo or pinstripes on one set but not another. Makes no sense to me. (Though admittedly, I'm not super knowledgeable about baseball aesthetics.)
  5. I like the idea of the Cardinals adopting a sandy gray into their color scheme, but only if they do so tastefully. I'd prefer they lean more traditional, but I wouldn't mind moving forward to something more modern as long as it isn't gimmicky or overly complicated, but I don't think Nike is capable of creating completely new looks without going way off the deep end anymore. I especially don't trust Nike with either the Arizona flag or adding extra colors. If it were me, I'd go with something like this, inspired by Andrew Lind's idea. Keep it simple, limit usage of sandy gray.
  6. I wouldn't expect it to be a full rebrand. We would've heard rumors or substantial info months ago. It's pretty darn late to unveil a set at this point, and usually something would have gotten out by this point. There's been a push for new uniforms for years by now, plus that mysterious teaser image, but it's super difficult to keep news like this under wraps for so long. I think it's more likely just swapping out one of the black alts for a throwback or something, though I'd love to see a rebrand. edit: Nevermind. didn't see the quote from the owner, discounted jerseys, or the possible new helmet. Looks like it's finally happening.
  7. Everything aside from pick plays is right on the money. The problem with pick plays is that it makes it impossible for the defense to defend in most situations and almost guarantees an open receiver. I can maybe see them only being legal right at the line of scrimmage, (at least then it's possible to make up ground) but anywhere downfield it's way too cheeky to be allowed. Teams would run exclusively pick plays every down, and it makes any route running or coverage skills completely pointless. Any average joe can run a pick play to get separation and the defense would be powerless to stop it. Being a cornerback is hard enough as it is and allowing pick plays would make coverage borderline impossible. WR/CB matchups are head-to-head battles of pure skill and athleticism, and they should stay that way.
  8. Must be some kinda geographical oddity, and ManilaToad must be a Dapper Dan man.
  9. Not the triple-outlined numbers, asymetrical cuff striping, or giant jaguar logo leaping through the players neck? The single TV number fits quite normally considering everything else in the uniform, though it'd be unheard of on any other uniform. Would love to see this concept be brought back as a throwback just for the memes. It's the most 90's uniform to ever exist, and it's tacky as all hell. I love it. I miss the days when the Jaguars' uniforms had a personality.
  10. Much better. Paying attention to simple tweaks like this goes a long way.
  11. The last couple of teams have been very solid. One point of criticism though, the wordmarks you use are always either way too big or too complex to work well on a jersey, and your numbers always end up squeezed way too small and too low on the jersey. UC San Diego and Boston College being especially egregious examples. Keeping wordmark to a single line is always ideal, and while they're usually pretty big in college, making them so large often brings too much attention away from the rest of jersey.
  12. Really like that look for Kentucky. The subtle checker pattern in the collar seems like it works really well. Super glad to see simpler pants striping and no gimmicky shoehorned colors. Not a huge fan of their Wildcat logo, but it works fine on the sleeve caps. Interesting to see Kentucky of all schools being among the first to switch to the Vapor Fusion template.
  13. I'd imagine the Colts and Browns are both to fully match their respective throwback sets. The Browns' wore white helmets in 1946, the year the uniform set is supposed to emulate. The Colts throwbacks are for 1956, but if they go one year back to '55, they could bring back the Manning-era throwback set that I remember them wearing the day Austin Collie was almost paralyzed against the Eagles.
  14. I mean this as adamantly yet respectfully as possible. As a Patriots fan, please shut up.
  15. I'm not a fan of any horned helmet concept for the Texans. Their logo is too good to not use on the helmet. Hoping they just stick with their red helmets for their incoming redesign.
  16. Now that's a gorgeous wordmark. The A feels like the Eiffel Tower, even if that's not the intention. Wish they'd use that as their primary typeface fo the whole identity, though it clashes a little with the organic shapes in the patterns.
  17. It's Luka for me. Ja is always a flashy scoring threat, but Luka will single-handedly win games for his team, and the passion and fire he has for the game reminds me a bit of MJ. I could easily see Luka becoming the Kobe of today's era with the way he thrives and welcomes the spotlight, and if he keeps up his statistical dominance, he could easily end up being a top 15 player all-time.
  18. Love those patterns and the color scheme is gorgeous, but the logo and pictograms don't fit the rest of the identity at all. It seems like each section of the identity was designed by a different team. It's disjointed and messy; a far cry from Tokyo 2020's gorgeous identity. I also don't get the logo at all, it feels more like an overpriced small-town hair salon logo than the flagship symbol of an Olympic brand. Even the typeface feels off. Why is the I in Paris lowercase when the rest of the letters are uppercase? You'd think a city like Paris, with its strong visual identity and bustling art and design scenes, could scrape together something better than this. Quite disappointed in the whole package, patterns and colors notwithstanding. Looks to me like the worst Olympic brand since London 2012.
  19. Being from Massachusetts, I've been cheering for whichever team has my favorite uniforms. In XFL 2020, that was St. Louis. This year, probably Seattle in the XFL and New Orleans or Michigan in the USFL. Edit: didn't realize how old that post was haha, my bad
  20. As a zoomer who was less than 6 months old when Lebron made his NBA debut and has only payed attention to basketball for 5 years, Perrin says MJ>Lebron>>>Kobe. Kobe was incredible, but he's not even a top-5 player. Wilt, Kareem, Bill Russell, and maybe a few others have achieved far more than Kobe did. I feel like he gets awarded more hype due to his flashiness and personality more than his actual play. He changed the way many viewed the game of basketball, and was one of the toughest to ever do it, but he's a lil overrated in my book. Probably 7 or 8 on my all-time list. I like Lebron way more as a person, and will undoubtedly end up with the greatest statistical resume the NBA has ever seen, but I don't know if I'd call him the most dominant or most unstoppable player of all time. MJ's tenacity and arrogance makes me see him as a bit of a jerk, but there's no doubting that his ego fueled him into becoming an absolute force of nature. People feared for their lives when playing MJ, and he proved those fears to be legitimate every single time he stepped on the court. Lebron will rip out your heart and singlehandedly ruin your season, but he's a good sport about it. Those two are easily the greatest to ever do it, but MJ gets the edge in my book. Lebron has him beat in some areas, including as a role model, but MJ takes the cake as the greatest ever.
  21. Exactly why I wish they would make the wordmark and swooshes on their jerseys gold, feels strange to not incorporate it into the jersey at all. All they need is a little bit, and making both gold prevents the swoosh from becoming too prominent. That and adding stripes to the socks would make their set even more perfect.
  22. Sounds like we have a slew of changes in the near future, but nothing that we know of this year. Usually we'd have a teaser or some substantial evidence by this point in the year. Heck, it's already been a full calendar year since the Commies unveiled their disastrous rebrand. Seems like we'll only be getting reintroduced throwbacks, a new Rams alternate, and probably some surprise alternate helmets this year. As far as we know, the next few years will likely bring rebrands for the Broncos, Texans, Cardinals, Lions, and perhaps the Eagles. Wouldn't be too surprised to see teams like the Ravens, Saints, or Panthers refresh their sets in the coming years, but there haven't been any rumors of change on their parts.
  23. Would hate to ever see it on the field, but as a fashion jersey, this kicks ass.
  24. If you're gonna go with a light blue base, might I suggest using the darker shade underneath the striping and the lighter shade above? That'd help it pop a bit more. Perhaps white number would work better as well, but as is they're fine. With the white jersey, it feels like the color scheme just isn't being fully utilized.
  25. My thoughts exactly. With the Las Vegas leak appearing to carry on the same style, I'm pleasantly excited for the future of Super Bowl logos. I'm perfectly fine with the template they're going with so long as they incorporate some local flair, which they're finally doing after a decade of blandness.
