Yup.Gotta run the table to pull an Ohio State-like jump back into the playoff like many had them picked. But that's so far off now. For now, time to gear up for a tight Pac-12 South and try to get a Rose Bowl berth.I was originally planning on going to the game yesterday, but funds just didn't line up in time. I'm actually glad about that now. I went to the game in Dallas two years ago vs Notre Dame and that was a LONG bus ride back to Tempe. Their defense is great and their offense was able to score relatively well on our defense. I really hope we can bounce back. It's hard to blame it all on one section. Hackenberg has some poor decision making, the line could still block better, and the play calling isn't the best. 10 sacks in one game is just terrible. He was sacked 44 times last year, and that was tied for second in FBS. Franklin is a fantastic recruiter and it seems like he fits in well with the players, but I would've loved to have seen where O'Brien could have taken this team. I'm not off the Hackenberg Hype Train just yet as I think he still has a large amount of potential, but the offense's synergy is still awful. We have what should be a winnable game against Buffalo next where hopefully we can build a foundation as well as some confidence heading into our first conference game against Rutgers.On a side note, I'm really saddened about hearing the news of Taysom Hill. Shows you what the "insiders" know. Zeke Elliot picked up right where he left off. What's he averaging, about 36 yards a carry in his last 5 games? EDIT: Also, what the hell with #7 for VT?
