In search of Larry O'Brien: 2015 NBA Playoffs

Oh my goodness, the Warriors can't complain about the refs. How the f*** was that not a foul? That's inexcusable.

I didn't watch the first 3 quarters so I can't speak for that but from what I've see late in the 4th and in OT, the refs are handing the Warriors this game.

Same here. Only been watching the last 5 mins of the 4th to now. I should have mentioned that too lol

That's all you ever really need to see in any NBA game.

So, here is what I learned watching the last minute of regulation and overtime:

LeBron is the only player who goes AWAY from his strengths.

LeBron, for being considered possibly top 5 of all time, does not get any superstar calls.

Steph Curry is considered a bigger star than LeBron.

NBA officials have no idea what a travel is.

NBA officials have no idea what a foul is.

NBA has a real issue with offensive players drawing fouls.

It's the biggest stage, highest rated Finals... And the officials are ruining the games.

Dellavedova is great.

Quoting myself. So awesome to see a guy step up in the playoffs like this.

Probably the worst game the Warriors could've played tonight. Curry looked absolutely terrible.

As much as I despise them, the Cavs did well at capitalizing on GS's mistakes. But, it's disheartening to hear all the stuff about the refs trying to ruin the game for the Cavs. It goes both ways every game. I hope the Warriors can pull the series off, but they need to do some big-time polishing.

Everyone feels sorry for Cleveland, Ohio. Delladova played great but ask the Hawks what kind a person he is.

Eh, we've had that conversation already. The Korver injury was unfortunate, but not intentional.

ESPN.com just had a tweet asking when the public is going to turn on Steph. That'd be unfortunate. The guy sometimes takes a while to get going, but that's balanced out by the games when he's playing the Jordan/Bird McDonald's commercial in real life.

Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala have probably been the best guys on the Warriors so far. Iguodala is all over LeBron every play, and Green knocked a few away from him. 39 points is still a lot, but it could have easily been a 50-point game for James without those two in his way.

The Cavs needed the perfect storm tonight- Scott Foster (Road teams never lose games he refs), Curry shot badly, all the missed threes, a whistle that was friendly for them- and they STILL almost choked the game away.

If not for Delly, David Blatt would be getting crucified for not putting in Mozgov late, who was a beast tonight.

Thompson is literally rebounds and nothing else.

The Cavs deserved to lose this game. They are SO damn lucky.

If Dellevedova doesn't pull a Jimmy Butler and go 48 minutes each night, they aren't gonna get away with 'Everyone not named LeBron doesn't know a damn thing about ball movement.'

Road teams have won the last 11 playoff games worked by Scott Foster.

This is why the NBA doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their games being legit. There are stats....brought up in media outlets...on how teams perform when certain refs are officiating the game.

You didn't get these stats when it's Bob Davidson or Ed Hochuli or Kerry Fraser doing the games.....

Sure you do. Home teams have won 60% of games that John Parry has officiated in the NFL, for instance. The stats are readily available for, I presume, gambling purposes.

Neither Fraser nor Hochuli had received 134 phone calls from Tim Donaghy from October 2006-April 2007.

It also didn't help that Tony Brothers was reffing as well.

Let us never see this guys again in a game

Did you watch the game? You're acting as though the officiating benefitted Cleveland late in the game when it clearly went the other way.

To be fair, basketball has always, and will always be the hardest sport to officiate. Obviously I'm going to get hit with "but it's the biggest stage in the game!!" and other bs, but come on, the game is almost completely judgement calls, and it's never easy to be accurate when rules aren't clearly defined, and there's so many aspects attributing to every single play.

Yes, the refs suck, they could be better, but it's basketball

One thing I was glad to see with the refs was the lack of superstar calls given. Some players are better than others but fouls should always be fouls rather its James Jones driving to the rim or LeBron driving to the rim the refs should call fouls when it's there and not based on who is in possession. Makes the game fairer.

i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

Wow. What a hard-fought hell of a game for the Cavs (literally)! Not only the tough Warriors, they had to overcome the refs that were trying to take them down ruthlessly in the end! I couldn't believe what I was watching. The officiating really made me think that the refs were paid. Just unbelievable... They should be fired AND fined.
