The Bears offense, namely Jay Cutler, has played the worst first half perhaps in Bears history.

Are you watching the same game?

Bears are one of the worst teams in football, second to only the Browns perhaps.  I think Bears/Browns would be a very close game.

Im just saying, as a Bucs fan, at that point it wouldn't have totally shocked me. Tampa has a propensity to cough up leads late. Even up 19 in the 4th, I still don't feel terribly comfortable.

Roughing the passer is a joke (not that we didn't know it).  Defensive players can't adjust in a millisecond if the QB starts going down right before they start to try to tackle.

Stepped out. But as we all know, Dean Blandino is a Denver fan....

Remember how the outrage over the Fail Mary ended the ref lockout?  Is anyone sure that the real refs wouldn't screw things up just as badly?  That was the biggest joke of that whole thing to me.

Rumor has it, it's a 50/50 chance the Redskins resign Desean Jackson after this season.

It'll be tough, but the team should let him go. Injuries are starting to eat at his career. The team also has a decision about Pierre Garçon, who's contract ends after this season. I would go ahead and resign Garçon, let Jackson walk, move Jamison Crowder to WR2 from Slot and put Ryan Grant in Slot. The team also has Rashad Ross, who has tremendous speed. So there's another option worth looking at.

Or, the team could look for outside options. I'd say they could go after Torrey Smith in a trade, but I doubt they would want to take on whatever would be remaining on his contract.

If every game were like this Dallas-Pittsburgh game, the ratings wouldn't be down.

But the game has been so diluted with missed calls on both ends. It's the definition on why the ratings are down: terrible officiating.

You have to grade the refs on a curve these days.

Edit: How they missed that Exorcist-like face mask penalty, I don't know... but the Steelers were nice enough to give them a make-up opportunity a couple plays later.

Well, I guess the Dolphins aren't getting a high draft pick next year. They're likely not going to make the playoffs either but man, they have the potential of going 9-7. That's all I'm really hoping for at this point; just finish the season with a winning record.
