In particular, I think it is excusable when the logo color is part of a piece of equipment or the depiction of an animal (e.g., St. Louis Cardinals beak and bat, Celtics brown basketball). Among those at the FBS level: Bowling Green (light brown), Georgia Southern (gold), Georgia Tech (black), Kansas (yellow), Kent State (brown), Louisiana-Lafayette (yellow), Memphis (orange), New Mexico State (gray), Ohio (brown), Stanford (green), UAB (red), UNLV (skintone) and UTEP (gray).
