NFL hypocrisy (short story)

> Doesn’t like betting

> Shuts down player led fantasy football convention at LV casino

> Money in Casino

> DraftKings, FanDuel, etc become prevalent

> decides it loves betting and money

> Signs partnership deal with sports betting company

> Expects all players not to gamble and bet on games

> A single player is outed for betting

> 1 year suspension

> uphold betting partnership and advertising

So am I. Just as soon as they lower the asking price by several zeroes. And also when I can fly. Because that's just as likely as the NFL selling to Kanye and AB.

Aaron Rodgers now highest paid QB in the league, 50 mil at least for one year.

Most of the people in this thread are going to explode in anger, the rest of us laugh at the clownshow that's going to proceed in this thread.

The smarter ones will realise that voidable years is going to be the new norm.

1.  I personally don't care how GMs circumnavigate contracts, cheat deadlines, and otherwise deftly navigate red tape.  I don't consider any of that cheating.  If the Packers bend the rules to the extent that it gets Rodgers and Adams to re-up, so be it.  If the Bears were a better team, they could pull this crap off, too.

2.  Aaron Rodgers is a playoffs loser, so if they want to pay him that much to lose in the playoffs, that's fine by me.   He's a Hall of Famer, one of the best to ever play, yata-yata, blah blah blah.

3.  The Bears aren't going to be good regardless, so what's another 4 years of being owned?

$153 million guaranteed over the next four seasons, yet it’s still somehow more cap friendly? How?

Has trading a top 5 QB ever worked out for the team who traded them?

Horrible trade for Seattle (unless they end up with Pat Mahomes somehow). Terrific trade for Denver.

It's September, and Seattle calls Tampa: "So Jason Licht and Bruce Arians, what will it take for us to get Tommy and bring him out of retirement?"

Eh, those picks will be important in jumpstarting a rebuild. I don’t think it’ll speed up the rebuilding too much, but it’ll help it.

If Seattle ends up with Tom Brady? Sure, this was worth it.

Also, Seattle isn't going to end up with Tom Brady. And if they do, I'll eat my hat.
