Or does Vans (or whoever owns them) have the ability to manufacture baseball cleats? If the latter, wouldn't they market them? But they still have to be able to move like athletic shoes, no? I get that he's a pitcher so he doesn't do as much athletic stuff as other players, but if you can just resole skateboard shoes and wear them in a major-league game, doesn't that kinda dispel any marketing nonsense that Nike or UA say about how their cleats are superior? To be fair, those are a pair of Vans Ultraranges, which are basically Vans version of “athletic” shoes. I wouldn’t go that far, but it was really easy on the eyes. The orange and teal looked great against each other, and I especially loved how both teams had the dark caps with colored brims to match the jerseys. I would say skate shoes are pretty much made for lots of movement so I don't think players would have anything to worry about really. Interestingly enough I see people skating in Jordan 1's now. Because a division title is a championship to be proud of. And, yes, the White Sox themselves have honoured the 1983 team. Also, the Blue Jays have honoured the 1985 AL East champions.
