If the league decides he has to sit because the NCAA hits him with sanctions, then what is he bringing to the team other than drama? Not saying it's guaranteed to occur, but if Warren was told there's a pretty good chance that Michigan, and Harbaugh, are getting hammered there's no reason to bring him in.

The NFL would tell the NCAA to sit and spin because they have no right to suspend the hottest coaching hire in another league.

What if you actually do like them?  I paid $160 for an upper-balcony seat for Mitski in two weeks, because the bots got all the tix before the first presale even started.

I like her too. My advice is just for those who aren't fluent in Marketing Girlie. Unfortunately, I couldn't get seats for any of her four shows here.

DTR is not going anywhere, but I think realistically he'll need more seasoning. PJ Walker probably won't be back.

I wonder if Walker would come to the UFL?  He's played enough to where he's already got his NFL pension.

J.J. McCarthy should be available, but I can't see him being a day one starter on the Vikings.

List of successful NFL QBs who played at Michigan.

1. Tom Brady

That's it. That's the list.

Draft McCarthy at your own peril. I could see maybe taking a flyer on him in rounds 5-7, but anything before that is a wasted pick.

It’s not like Tom Brady was in his legendary form at Michigan either. So, drafting a good Michigan QB could make for an exceptionally garbage NFL pick.

Exactly. People are high on McCarthy because the media loves his "grit" (whatever the :censored: that means) and his coach pimped him like he was a $10,000 a night call girl. He was a good QB in the B1G, but I didn't see a thing from him that makes me believe he'd be a good QB in the NFL. He's a more annoying and better marketed Brian Griese.

I’d love to know what a $10,000 call girl looks like. I just paid $50 and a Snickers bar for a handy behind Walgreens. Can’t imagine what $10K could get you.

Very Falcons thing to do where you refuse to hire your 4-7 interim, hire a doofus from outside the organization for three years of nothing football, then fire him and hire the interim you could have had in the first place.

Those three years of Art now mean even less.

Not super stoked on Heem based on his interim stint, but players absolutely love the guy and he has been doing great for the Rams.

Mostly I’m glad it’s not Belichick. That would have never not been weird and I can continue cursing that man’s name for infinity.

i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

Well the $10,000 call girl is a rip off then, I’d atleast be expecting the equivalent of a Lamborghini revuelto, not a car I could buy for less than 6 figures

It's been done before, so there's precedent. And Harbaugh is as hot a hire as weather on Neptune. He brings a tainted championship trophy and that's about it.

Yeah, he’s the “hottest hire” if you’re glued to ESPN during the morning gasbag blather fest.  They’ll move on soon.

Two HC openings remain-

• Commanders

• Seahawks

The belief is the Commanders will get Lions OC Ben Johnson and Dan Quinn will go back to Seattle as HC.

This explain why the Ass Birds fired Brian Johnson, rather than let him continue the 2024 Rooney  Rule tour.  They were holding off, hoping he'd get hired, so they'd get the comp picks.  They obviously know that each of the remaining teams has their guy, so no harm firing him.

Also, while they tried to keep it quiet Nick Sirianni had his balls surgically removed by team doctors.  Rumor was that Howie was going to rip them off with his bare hands without even giving him anesthesia, but cooler heads prevailed.

Unconfirmed rumors from "sources close to the team" are that the new coordinators will report to Howie and not Sirianni, and that Sirianni is to have no veto power over plays or even game planning, and if he meddles, they'll have the power over their side of the ball.

Howie approves (or is at least made aware of) the game plans (which I think has always been the case), but rather than Sirianni devising the plan and then entrusting the OC to draw up the plays and execute it, now it'll be the OC presenting the plan and having 100% say over it.

Sirianni has been rendered a cheerleader.  He said that as "CEO of the on-field operations", he may occasionally sit in on defensive meetings, but not meddle, and we'll see how it goes once an OC is hired."  Note that he didn't say "when I hire an OC."

Some day, I want to advance to a point in my career where I have someone's balls bronzed and turned into a trophy that I keep on my desk, so that they have to look at them every time they come into my office.  Hell, I may even bronze each one separately and roll them back-and-forth on my desk while he watches.
